Smartphone- GolfLogix free download

I just downloaded the GolfLogix app. for my Blackberry Curve today and it work perfect. I tested it next to my GPS8 handheld and the distance was dead on. I went with GolfLogix because I want a company that will stand by there product....no a bunch of hacks building a Smart Phone application. 24,000 courses mapped and not mapped thru Google earth. I'm more than happy with my new GPS on my Blackberry.

Has anyone been able to download Golflogix for the iPhone yet? I keep checking and it keeps giving me the "coming soon" pop-up.

Looks like the iphone link is finally working and it's available on itunes. I am going to give it a go during my round tomorrow morning and see how it performs.

I have been using the golflogix app for 2 weeks and love it. I will probably delete green finder, v-caddy and air view. This app is by far the best I have used, the lay up distances are a big plus on an unfamiliar course. I manual lock my phone after hitting a shot and turn it back on when I get close to the ball and it only takes a second or two to adjust. The score card and stat feature are great too. It is worth the suscription fee.

+1 but i hear that there may be a subscription charge coming soon.... That would change things a bit. However, I do like GolfShot GPS the best of the lot. I deleted GolfLogix - 24 hours free wtf??? I couldn't even try it out on a course. The subscription bagged it for me.

I say gobble up Golfshot GPS while it doesn't carry a subscription fee. I easily make it through a round, no problem.

I tested the golf logix with my blackberry bold. It was great and I was very surprised how accurate it was, comparing it to my bush nell laser all day. The only downside, i ran out of battery on 16th hole.

If golfshot does go to a subscription basis, you gotta believe they are gonna make you sign up for it to. Im sure they will just discount your first year...how can a company stay in business just selling the app for 30 bucks flat. How could they perform maintainence on maps, etc...

Nothing wrong with saying what you like or don't like about an app, but come on.... "24,000 courses mapped and not mapped thru Google earth" ???? I'm sure they may walk some courses, but they can not walk every course in the world! I down loaded it on my BB and they have 2 holes reversed on one course here, which wouldn't happen if they actually walked it. Nothing wrong with using satellite imagery. It is getting quite accurate.
