This little beauty finally showed up yesterday. I picked her up (along with my custom DASS that I am designing) at the Bettinardi Social. I'll let the pictures do the talking, but I'll be happy to answer any questions about her. :man_in_love: :man_in_love: :man_in_love: :man_in_love:

Yeah.. Scotty eat your heart out is right! I actually feel lucky to have seen this thing in person.. you are one lucky guy to have at one point had TWO 3/4's!!!!!

 

IMHO this was the in the top 5 sweetest putters at the Social.. and my personal favorite barely edging out Tony's 1 of 1 w/ snow.

 

The only problem with this putter is...

 

The SOLID BLOCK OF DASS you bought from Bobby.. can't wait to see a Bettinardi custom.. it's gonna be sweet..

I have to admit I am not a real big Bett fan, but that is one of the best looking putter I have seen.

 

I really like the length of it (3/4). Is it a long plumber neck, or does it just look longer beacuse of the size of the putter?

 

Lastly. Is it carbon? I know Byron makes his mystic pearl on SS, not carbon (I think thats what he does). Sorry, if this already has been mentioned.

I'm no Bettinardi fanatic but the 3/4s are always gorgeous putters. I can't believe the headweight is so high, though. Very cool!

Thanks! It is a long neck, and face balanced. It is made out of soft carbon. I love the 3/4 head shape as well. I wish I could do it for my custom DASS.

Sadly she won't see any time on the green. I would love to game her, but I would need to have her cut down 3.5" (36" now) and bent 3° flat. I just can't justify doing that when I know she won't quite fit my stroke right since she is so perfectly face balanced and I need some toe hang.

Could someone please give me the background on the whole "Eat your heart out Scotty" talk? I'm not that familiar with the mini (outside of that it was some sort of small putter that Bettimardi milled for Scotty and that he might still have a couple of them :) ) so is this similar to that and is that what you are comparing this too? If so, does anyone have some pics of the mini that they could post with this?

 

From a function standpoint, does the 'narrowness' (if that is the right word - length from heel to toe) decrease the 'forgiveness' and/or shrink the sweet spot? The only thing that had a similar head length was the squareback and it just didn't look right with a small head sitting next to the ball.....JMO. Also, are these made to game or purely a wall-hanger? I realize that it is very limited so probably won't be gamed but could it?...if that makes sense. Nice looking finish...certainly a beautiful piece.
