Custom Scratch Putter for Jeong Jang

Below is a putter we made for Jeong Jang who is one of the top women on the LPGA Tour( 2005 British Open Champion). She was 4th in the world last year until an injury kept her from playing many events this year. She is currently 35th in the Rolex World Rankings and we excited to get this putter in her hands. She already plays our wedges and we expect this putter to get put in play very shortly. She came to us with a VERY specific idea of exactly what she wanted in her ideal putter, when it couldn't be made by another manufacturer, because she new we could make EXACTLY what she wanted. This is exactly what she wanted

what kind of prices are the scratch putters going to be. i know tis is custom but i heard they are going to get into putters

The Scratch Putter Picture thread has the final pics of the shapes and styles as well as a link to the Announcement thread and prices and more information. Putters are $399 in carbon or stainless, $499 in Aluminum Bronze or Solid Copper, and $1499 for Damascus putters in the retail line.

I like the stamping on the heel. It reminds me of those old time wax seals.

And no offense or anything, but what's so special about this? Why could you make it when others couldn't?

As far as this putter goes Jeong Jang wanted a very specific weight and look with a specific mid slant hosel which she couldn't get others to create for her and we were more than capable and willing to help her create her ideal putter.

I guess how I worded that probably wasn't the best. I sound like I don't like what I've seen before, but this was better...that's not it at all. As I was scrolling down I saw the first couple of pictures and couldn't tell that it had the extended flange, Squareback style. I love a plumbers neck on this style putter, it's something I'd definitely consider playing myself if I wasn't very satisfied with my current. I suppose that's why I said "surprised" just typing a response quickly.

As for putter specifics, first it looks to me a bit shorter heel to toe than a majority of putters. Second, I noticed right away that it doesn't have any type of mill marks on the face. Was this Jeong's request?

Great job though. Sounds like Scratch putters are really getting a warm welcome.

Sweet putter. Although [b][i]I[/i][/b] personally do not care for the "larger" heads this looks great. Its nice to see a fully finished putter w/ stampings. I really like the heel stamping.

JJ was VERY specific on what she wanted. She gave us exact dimensions from heel to toe and from front to back that she wanted to see. She also had a very specific neck that she wanted at a very specific length and toe hang. She also requested a smooth milled face and Satin plated 1018 Carbon Steel. Her specs are 31.5", 70* lie, 2.5* loft and she uses a small size Iomic grip.
This putter is literally exactly what she wanted and is the original prototype for our SN-03 putter.
