I think flexibility comes into play as well. As stated earlier people with the active lower body will tend to be more flexible as they can gets hips rotating without coming ott. I spent several years trying to get into impact positions with hips open at impact and right foot up slightly. Turns out i'm just not flexible enough to achieve that position and i wasted about 2 years trying. Nowadays i accept this and am happy to keep right foot planted and hips square to slightly open to target.

A good drill for this i found was to hit balls with right foot back and feel like i was controlling clubface with hands rather than rotation. Its been of benefit to me but horses for courses

Without seeing your swing, its hard to say for sure, but for me, I had to change how my hips turned on the downswing.

For some reason, I started "firing with my right hip" on the downswing, which pushed my right hip forward (towards the ball) which requires you to lift you right heel off the ground. How I got to this point, I don't know, but I noticed I was struggling to finish my swing and this was the root cause.

The tip that my coach gave me which got me on the right track was to put a chair behind you with the back of the chair almost touching your left cheek at setup. Your goal is to push the chair away from you on the downswing. They only way you can do that if you have the same problem I did is to "quiet down" your right hip on the downswing and manage your hip rotation by bringing the left hip back (away from the ball) instead of moving the right hip towards the ball. The net movement is still the same (hips rotate to the target) but moving the left hip away from the ball is a much better action than moving the right hip towards the ball.

At least it worked for me. My right heel stays down much more than before, (still needs some work) and my finish shows a much better rotation through the swing and I am up on my toe at the finish.

Here are some before and afters, the time difference between them is about a month. Look at where my right elbow is at impact on both swings. In the "before" it is very cramped against my right hip. In the "after", there is much more room between those two points which shows that my left is has gone "back" instead of my right hip moving "towards the ball".

Rolls and eventually comes up on the toe.

The big thing I watch out for is coming up on the toes before rolling (or before impact) which usually means that I have spun out. When my hips get too fast I try to cement the feeling of the right heel moving left before getting up on my toes and it usually takes care of the problem. FOR ME, with a good, synchronized wing, it feels like my right heel gets tugged a little to the left right before the foot rolls and eventually comes up on the toes well into the follow through.
