For those that have hit/played both clubs

9015D/9032LS vs Cobra s9-1 Pro D/S

Alright I need some comparisions on these heads. I play a 9015D 9.5* and like it alot but the face is probably a little too open for me. So Im curious about the 9032LS, Cobra s9-1 Pro D and S. Let me know what you think?

Common guys, I KNOW alot of you have played these.

Both Cobra drivers will be as open or more open than the Adams.

I haven't hit the 9032LS but I've tried the other 3 and the S9-1 pro S was the keeper for me.

Why did you pick it over the Adams?

I've only played the Adams drivers.The 9032 has nothing on the 9015.I sold my9015,bought the 9032-sold that & bought the 9015d. It's one of the best drivers i've ever had(the ft-9 tour w/fubuki is a close second).The 9032 spun too much(stock) & flew too high compared to the 9015.

Yes I keep hearing the 9032 spins more than the 9015d. Dont like that idea at all!

For me the Cobra gave a more penetrating flight and slightly better distance. Maybe 3 to 5 yards.

For me the Cobra gave a more penetrating flight and slightly better distance. Maybe 3 to 5 yards.

WHat loft you hitting in the Cobra? If Im hitting a 9.5* 9015D should I stay with the same loft with the S9-1 Pro S?

I'm using the 8.5. I tried out all 3 clubs at 8.5 and 9.5. I had an altus shaft sitting at home so I went with the lower loft due to the high launch shaft. If I didn't have the shaft I would've gone with 9.5.

You should get on a launch monitor with these clubs, they're all good clubs and what works for me may not be best for you.

I don't know if it matters but this is kind of my back-up driver.

Hmm so whats the gamer?

I have hit them but just into a simulator plus since they dont have a shaft that fits me it is kind of pointless. I have to buy it and reshaft anyways to find out if I will like any driver.

Sorry. I am currently gaming a L4V x w/HD7 shaft. It's a bomber and almost deadly accurate...extremely loud though. That's why I tried the 9015d and S9-1 pros. The S9-1 is much quieter, almost too quiet for me, and not as forgiving.

No love at all for the Pro D? I read it wasnt forgiving as the S, that was the common concensus. Looks like the 9015D is still the king.

I could never get over the sound of the L4V. I played a FT-3 for years though which sounds like you're hitting a marshmellow. I like the more muted drivers.

Yes, L4V is loud. Make your presence known on the 1st tee, use the L4V. I've had people at the driving range move or leave when I swing the driver. kind of embarrasing, but it goes where I hit it.

The S9-1 is a good club, I use it on private courses and the L4V on municipals. For me the S9-1 will give more distance (5-7 yards) but dispersion is not as good as the L4V (about 3-5 yards left or right). I may cut the shaft on the S9-1 1/4 inch or 1/2 inch, it may help my dispersion. If it does, I will start gaming the S9-1.

In the end for me L4V x is a bomber, S9-1 pro S is a less accurate Stealth bomber. Whatever you decide, have fun and good luck.

Rember though, these clubs are open. If you don't like the open face of your current driver, you are not going to like these.

I dont mind it, but would prefer something more square or less open, Im sure I could hand pick a head and find something closer to square. Cobra states the Pro S as 1.5 degrees open. Im kind of leaning torwards trying a Pro S just to see if it can over take the 9015D.

Is the 9032LS really that forgiving or is it the higher spin = starighter?
