Well the UT didn't work for me at all. Hit maybe 10 shots on the range with it. Dropped on my "test hole" at my club today and hit 5 shots with it from 225 to the hole and hit 3 shots with my RAZR MB 3 iron. Hit one on the green, pulled one short left in the hazard and hit the other 3 about 10 yards short and right. Hit my 3 iron and hit 2 in the middle of the green and one on the right fringe pin high. This is the 3rd utility iron I have tried and they are just not for me. Sort of like hybrids. Oh well.

Apparently USPS lost my package with my (2) VooDoo XNV7 shafts so I still haven't been able to try my X2 Hot Pro fairways. Had to open a claim. Shocking. In lieu of that though I reshafted my Tour Issue RBZ Tour Spoon with a random shaft (I was going to trade in at a local golf store) and I was striping it when swinging smoothly. Reshafted it back with a VooDoo XVS7. Will probably end up keeping it the way I have hit it the last couple of days.

Cannot find a gap club between the 3 wood and 3 iron. Going old school. Pretty decent shape actually. Going to have Continental refinish it and add 6g of hotmelt. VS Proto 80X Tipped 1.5" and a REL 3Gen Ace.

I hit modern 5 woods too high I feel like. Next step will be a 5 Deep if this doesn't work out. Smoking my TM RBZ TS w/ XVS7 right now and have a lot of confidence in it.

Love this Callaway bag from top to bottom. I own the X-Protos with X100 myself and they are easily some of the best irons ever made. Bonus points for old school (by WRX standards) Aldila shafts too!

Well I hit the V-Steel today with a pull shaft I had laying around. Also no go. Alright so I'm not a 5 wood guy. Not a Utility iron guy. Not a Hybrid guy. LOL!

Went old school again with an original Adams 18° Idea Pro I picked up locally that was in great shape. Have a Project X HB6 drying in it right now...

I have to say, I purchased an RBZ 5 wood off of him and his builds and finishes are tour quality. Great member, even better seller right here and if he has items on the BST it's worth the money!

Thanks man!

So I have decided to adopt and learn the A-Swing. Today was my first day trying it. I've been super inconsistent lately. I watched the Leadbetter video and thought this is right up my alley. I already use that kind of grip. Stronger left hand and slightly weaker right hand. I struggle with aiming to the right about 10 yards. And the biggest thing I fight is releasing early and not getting my lower body to start the swing. I also occasionally open my left wrist at the top of the swing resulting in a high block cut. I honestly couldn't believe how natural this felt today. I literally changed the loft on my XR from 8° to 10° on the range because I was hitting it so much lower. I was sick the last few days so I was a little weak today but felt OK. I swung very smooth and relaxed all day because of how I felt and was just hitting an extra club everywhere. I skipped around a few holes today but got 15 in and was around even par with 4 birdies. Doubled the first and last. Think I had one random bogey mixed in there.

Anyway. I'm pretty excited to say the least. On the above shot it randomly happened to be my best drive of the day. Perfect ball flight. Didn't get my weight quite through the shot all the way but I tend to do that. It was crazy how much lower I hit the ball today.

Picked up a "Ladies" 913F.d 18° off the bay for like $75 from Global Golf that was hit maybe 5 times. Going to reshaft it with a P95 and throw 4g of hotmelt in it.

20150730_112631.jpg

This is what I have planned for my next build once everything is available:

Screen%20Shot%202015-07-30%20at%2011.40.46%20AM.png

With my new swing changes I am hitting the ball much lower and am not loading the shaft as heavily. SS is down a little bit so I'm going to make the jump to Stiff shafts. I would still fit in the low end of X but am going to try a theory out. I should have myTrackMan delivered by next week so it will be fun to do a full blown fitting for myself using it. We will go from there. ;)

Had a good round yesterday. Very consistent. Missed probably 3-4 putts inside 10 feet but also made 2-3 long putts. This is my best round of the year I think. I like my course because I play all the way back and it is easily 2-3 strokes more difficult than one up so my handicap doesn't get out of whack. :D

Finally, the wife made me clean up my workbench. This is the best she is going to get!

Built up my 913F.d 18° w/ a VS Proto 80X. Cut it to 42" and threw a grip on there. SW without the lead tape is about D0.8 so I am going to try it out before hotmelt or changing the weight in the bottom. Hit a few in a net and the head feels great. I have long considered this the Holy Grail of 5 woods. Excited to try it out.

20150803_140511.jpg

Also am going to try a Graphite Design G 70 Silver X in my driver. Got it for a song so figured I would give it a whirl. Supposedly this was built on a very similar platform to the YSQST. Tipped it .5" and playing it at 45".

20150803_140533.jpg

I am trying out the Tour Velvet grip again. Since adopting the A-Swing, I feel like the REL 3Gen feel just slightly too big for how I am holding it in my left hand and have always felt the Tour Velvet .580 Round feels a touch smaller.

Will update in a couple of days. I am also getting to finally see the new Mizuno line tomorrow morning before I go to the course. Excited!

Nothing, the Phenom NL is a great shaft. I have slowed down a little bit and am making better golf swings now and it would've probably been a little too low. I love changing and trying new shafts. I'm excited to try the new GBB. Probably going to order one with the new Rogue to try out. Also plan on trying the new GD M9003. Once I get my Trackman I am going to have a field day or 5 trying stuff. :D

Currently I'm just waiting for my business license so I can order the TM...

5 wood has been great. I like the driver shaft as well, reminds me a lot of a RIP Alpha, a shaft I still have and can compare the two and they are nearly identical in feel and ball flight...might be slightly smoother feeling.

Going to be changing up my wedges. The PM grind is just too hard for me to hit tight lie or thin sand bunker shots. It is actually a good training aid because you have to keep your hands so far forward. Going to wait and see the new MD3 and probably going to pick a set of those up.

Swing is progressing really well and quite quickly. Funny how much confidence I have on the course compared to before. Practiced yesterday for an hour or two. Had some time before I was supposed to meet the wife at my sister's for a cookout and played a few holes until I got the call. Started on the back nine and got the call on 14. I made a 50 footer down and over a hill on the green to go -4 thru 5...lol I was not happy to have to leave

[/quote]LOL honestly they would have had to waited. See you are in the Raleigh N.C. area Is the old RGA course still out on Tryon Hills road? I know the other old course I used to play Cheviot Hills out on US 1 has been gone along with Gresham Lake which was an actual lake. My Dad was from there that is why I know a little about the area

Under par at 12 Oaks is impressive. Every time I play out there, I just want to break 90. The option to lose a ball exists on every hole. Fun course though.

I started up my fitting company. Going to become a sponsor on here and have started the process of ordering everything. Anyway, here is a pic of my new truck and the new TrackMan 4 (Very exciting after it was delayed for about 2 months):

Alright the irons and wedges are in! Playing in a couple of hours so will know what the wedges are like later today. Played 2 rounds with the irons and they are fantastic. Very little offset, especially for Japanese stuff, a little intimidating looking at first, but they are quite forgiving, feel incredible and the Modus 125 is fantastic.

Hitting a Cobra LTD driver and fairway right now with the stock Rogue Black. I have honestly never hit woods that spin as much as these. Occasionally I will catch a driver just right but for the most part I spin this head in the 3500-4000 range. Three wood is even higher spin. Weird I know. Going back to an M1 w/ an Agera Stiff and a 915F w/ a GP 8S.

Picked up a Ping 1966 Anser. First day with it I putted terrible but it most not the putter. Has a great crisp feel and it looks stellar.

And to go along with my ball marker...

M1 w/ Agera is stellar...glad I went back to it

915F reminded me that I should have never gotten rid of it...just love the head and the Rogue Black 80S is great in it.

816 H1 also not going anywhere...my favorite hybrid to date!

I have also adjusted to the lighter weight in the Ping 1966 TR putter and really like it. Plus my new headcover makes me happy. :)
