the thing is though, there is a reason that these guys use real oems, THEY MAKE BETTER CLUBS!!!!

Did I read that correctly?
So you are saying that Taylormade, a marketing beast who is out there just to make money and mass produce thousands of clubs off-shore, are producing better and higher quality clubs than someone like Miura, Epon or Vega which have perfect quality control? The tolerances for the major brands are so broad that almost every club can make it to the market. With the smaller brands, they have to make better clubs to compete with them because the majority of golfers fall for the marketing. The smaller brands are also out there to make the best golf clubs for people.
I can guarantee you that the quality of the smaller OEM's clubs are way better than someone like Taylormade's clubs that are sold in any golf store.

Think before you talk.

How would you suggest we measure the quality?

Uh..., more likely than not, headweight tolerances, correct lofts, correct lies; the list goes on. We're not talking about clone knockoff's here, we're talking about small OEM's. The head, design, material may not be any better, but quality control usually is (for the majority of the public buying brand x that was not through a competent fitter).

Addressing the topic at hand. Same logic applies to the fact you don't see "Joe's Bar" on someones shirt or side of car (racing) but you see McDonald's all over the place. Who do you think has a better burger? Small OEM's won't spend the money to chase or advertise. They simply can't. I think a lot of people would be surprised to see what people are playing when they are not given or discounted brand x clubs.

You have to understand one major thing that nearly everyone forgets, in terms of quality: 9/10 times we are not actually talking about the physical structure being sound, I would suggest that, that's where most of the LARGE oems put their quality control efforts. What we are talking about, when those of us who say SMALLER OEM's have better qulity control, is that actual spec tolerances are that much finite. There is no shadow of a doubt that you can take 10 TM, Titty, Ping, Cally drivers off the rack and get like 7-10 diffrent lofts than what are stated on the sole of the club. Now many would suggest that, that's true for all companies, and I agree to a small amount, but the deviation from what is stated is so much more controled. Even worse for the "Larger" OEM's is that their shaft tolerance are all over the place, and I mean bad. You have shafts that are maked stiff and don't even fall in a decent range of what could be considered stiff, and that means in either direction.

You have to consider that when you buy KZG, even Snake Eyes, or even the higer of the higher end componenets, you have to buy them from a club builder. In side of that you don't buy these clubs as whole sets, the buyer gets fitted more often, and has the correct shafts speced out for them. Again you can say that you can get this with the big guys, but they won't check the shafts so that the range of frequency is similar between each individual shaft. Larger guys just grab, cut and epoxy.

The reality is the big guys have to do it the quickest way possible. They have to get the product out. Let's face it if they don't move it fast, they can't pay for their walking advertisments Thursday through Sunday.

Finally tour guys might be playing the same heads we are, but they are treated like gold. Each head is checked weekly for slight deviations and shafts are routinly checked for frequency tolerances so the flight patterns can remain consistant between each club.
