i picked up a nvs105x for my CB1 3 wood for 11 bucks. Absolute cannon and gives me insane control. I cant really work the ball but I really should not be trying to do that. I also just picked up a nv 105x hybrid for my idea pro 18 deg that I dont use. Got it for 6 bucks so I pulled the trigger. Great deals from Aldila on some more than decent stuff. Neither are pink BTW

yeah they have some cool stuff, except 300 for the boodoo. They also have an aldila tour store, they were selling 60X cinamons on there for the longest time.

They have been there for a while now on ebay for that price. i was going to buy some a while back but ended up for international shipping was $85 alone witch i though was kinda steep for a $11 shaft that still wouldn't be that fantastic for me (currently have a nv65).

Does any one know any other shaft manufactures that are selling cheap shafts like this?

How do these compare to the Nike Proto that came in the 5000 driver?
Specs seem similar. Was thinking about a pair of these for a second driver and three wood combo...
$20 shipped seems too good to pass up.

any help on what would be the best for me? nvs or the nv? i feel like a need between a stiff and an xstiff im only 18 ex football player and power lifter but when im trying to control the ball im around 105 swing.. so can someone lemme know what size, type (nvs or nv), and gram would best fit me?

Yes, the 75 is the stiffer of the two. Unless you have a very quick tempo, I would go with the stiff in the NV.

I don't know what the bore size is on the Speedline.

Really you can go with the 75-S tipped or the 75-X untipped. The NV's aren't overly harsh, really a great shaft that fits many people.

The NVS get's the ball up quick, if you need a higher ball try the NVS. The NV is a low-to-mid launch shaft. If you hit the ball high and you want to flattne out the peak of your trajectory, that's the shaft. If you're a power lifter try a heavier shaft first. The heavier the shaft you can swing the more control you will get! I'd say try the 85 first and go from there. 105 is either an 85s tipped or an 85x untipped. Perhaps consider an 85x untipped if you go with the NVS and an 85s tipped if you go with the NV.

I've got one in my driver (55X gram) and love it. You can't beat the price and it is still a top-notch shaft.

Yep, the Aldila ebay store is awesome. Bought both of my NVS105 hybrid shafts on there for 15 a piece. Also bought a couple of NV hybrids for a buddy.

Slightly off-topic, but Graphite Design has an ebay store as well. Picked up a Purple Ice FW (black tour version) for 20 bucks as well.

I've got a SS bout 105... Have (had) an NV-65s in a G5 this past season and I'm opting for another shaft. A lot of movement in my ball right to left (draws to sometimes hooks). I'm looking NV-75s tipped or NV-85s. Something a bit stiffer. Not sure about NV-75X. If you have a natural mid/hi ball flight go with a NV shaft. If you want some height to your ball you can go NVS, but I think you'll need an X.

I bought an NV 85s a few months ago and tipped it an inch and threw it in my fairway wood and was kinda of disappointed with the performance overall, but man did it look cool as hell, and drew lots on inquiries. But for the price, what do you have to lose? Ive still got a 55x that I never put in anything.
