I know you guys don´t start yours until the 25th, but in Sweden we are "all in"

 

So just wanted to send a Golf Xmas to all you guys and thanks for this great Forum

Also a merry Xmas from Denmark.

In Denmark we start with to go to church at 3 o'clock. we set ourselves at the table around 6 o'clock and eat duck or goose, some has begun to eat turkey. For dessert we eat Ris a'la mande - a right which consists of rice porridge, whipped cream and chopped almonds - there is a single whole almond in triggering a gift (almond gift) later we dance around the Christmas tree - If the family have the space the will be running around the entire house. And so begins the great gift distribution - it can take hours before it is finished. Christmas Eve, the 24. is for children.

On 25. and 26. families eat Christmas lunch together - and this is for the adults. Lunch consists of several kinds of herring, many small hot dishes, cheese and sweet, all washed down with plenty of beer and spirits

Been out in the snow down to the water, living in Stockholm, tried to catch seatrout angling with shrimps... caught 2 !!

6 ibs and 8 Ibs.. nice fresh silver torpedos!

I miss the flyfishing that I were doing a lot before starting with golf 10 yrs ago!

Hmm will need to buy some new Flyfishing stuff... Nothing is like having a great Seatrout on a #8-9 flyrod
Well it should be to have a bonefish or such...

Anyway, soon to be, dinner with family and eating ham, turkey, salmon and herring:-)

I was blessed to have the opportunity to visit Sweden in the mid-90s. Was there in January. Everyone still had their Christmas lights up. There is a story... a tradition... that keeps your lights up for a longer period of time. (Here, we take them down the first nice day after Christmas!) What is the story behind keeping the lights up??

FWIW, if I ever again have the chance to travel abroad, it will be a return trip to Sweden. What a beautiful country... friendly and welcoming folks. So much history. (Even if one of the biggest tourist draws is a boat that didn't even make it out of the harbor before it sunk!! LOL)

Christmas in Texas varies from house to house.

In keeping with the spirit of this forum, it was 75 degrees yesterday and most people were playing golf wearing shorts and golf shirts.

A front blew through overnight and it started sleeting around 7 this morning and is now snowing very hard. The temperature is down around 35 and will fall all day. Should be around 25 degrees by this afternoon.

We'll spend alot time with family, do a little hunting, and eat until we can't hold anymore.

If it was warmer, we'd play golf on Christmas afternoon but that doesn't look like an option this year.

Spending Christmas in Washington State, out on the Olympic Peninsula, with my wife's extended family. We're going to end up having Thanksgiving dinner over again for Christmas. But that's OK, because I love having turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes and gravy.

In my family, the celebration started with dinner at my parents home (Grandma and Grandpa) on Christmas Eve. Lamb and mint jelly were the traditional meal.

Christmas Eve service at 11:00 PM, hymns and carols, preceded by an hour of wonderful, traditional classic church Christmas music. (A little Handel, a little John Rutter, for example.)

Christmas day was very relaxed with present opening in the morning, a bit of recreation in the afternoon, and a big family dinner Christmas night.

And I got the Green Light for finding a Tour/Custom desig putter...:-)

Life IS good:-)

She got the new Iphone 32Gb, MacBook Air and the Mulberry she wanted..

So Iguess I am the "loser"

BTW.. SO nice to see hera from all Nordic Countries- Iceland aswell!!! and of course rest of this great Golf Ho world!!
