Toddler Clubs

My little girl will be turning 2 in a couple weeks so it is time to start thinking about getting her real clubs (basically because she will be tall enough). She has some plastic ones that she likes to hit my golf balls with, albeit one handed, and a US Kids Golf putter. So here's the question, does anyone have any input on what set I should go with. I know that US Kids makes a pink set in 3-5 so they are in the running. And Lynx has a pink 3-5 as well, at about 1/2 the cost, and the 5-8 and 8-12 are also pink (but she may want more clubs at that point, who knows). Right now I am leaning towards the Lynx because I know the quality will be good enough for her to pass them down to her sister (due in March). I have a Snake Eyes 4h junior club that she could throw in there as well (if I can pinkify it). Any help with the toddler sets would be great. Also, any ideas on where to go after that (stay with Lynx or US Kids, go Ping Moxie, Cally XJ)? Thanks.

US Kids is the only way to go. They only make stuff for the tykes and it is really fantastic equipment. They actually have spin milled weges for 3 year olds!

Go to the US Kids website, and check out the outlet section. When I bought my son's clubs in 2008, I purchased the 5 club Red set with stand bag for like $100, which was about $20-$30 less than the regular 3 club set with stand bag. US Kids is definitely the way to go. They are quality stuff and they will take a beating. Not really sure that you need a stand bag, as they do take some force to make the legs come out.

On a side note, my 3 year old son, is right handed but was using left-hand low grip on his clubs since he was about a year and a half. We went in to Golfsmith and found out that the smallest junior glove (not that he needs one) just about fit. Now he remembers to put his glove hand on top, so he has the right grip now.

While the US Kids stuff is good, I actually like the Lynx stuff for smaller kids like your 2 year old. The Lynx clubs are lighter and shorter than the US Kids.

For 2-4 year olds, I actually really like La Jolla's Snoopy set- they are sized for 2-4, not 3-5, and that's what I got my daughter when she first turned two. I think Snoopy, Lynx and then US Kids is a great progression of golf clubs (at least thats what I did). The Snoopy set is very light, has very soft winn-like grips (to avoid any risk of blisters). I also recommend the smallest US Kids training club (basically a 9 iron with a molded grip) as an additional club, which can really help with hand placement.

That glove idea is fantastic as a reminder! well done. i'm about there with my kids as well.
