Back in August of 2009, I needed an excuse to go up north and play some golf...by myself. Here's why. In May, during Memorial Weekend, I was playing at this golf course in Gaylord because we have a cottage in Gaylord and it's great, I love playing up there. Anyway, I meet this cart girl / halfway house bartender. Nobody is on the course, and we flirted about 5 times during my round. She kept coming back and after the 3rd time, she was coming up with lame excuses as to why she was coming around. Whatever, she was cute, it was fine. After I get done, I sat at the bar and she told me that she was working in Gaylord for the whole summer, all her friends were away and she was staying at her relatives house. Now, my mind is basically calculating how I can somehow hook up with this girl, all while she is telling me about her dog.

The problem is, my family is with me and there is no way I'm going to be able to bring her back to the cottage. No way. It's family time, and I need to abide by those rules. So, I tell her that I will be coming back to Gaylord, by myself, to play golf in August for a long weekend (complete BS lie, had no intentions of coming back to Gaylord in August). So, I give her my e mail and phone number and tell her that ill call her when I come back.

So now, I'm thinking, what can I do to have a legit reason as to why I need to come by myself. Because, the first thing my dad is going to ask is, can I come? So, while perusing the BST forum, I came across an AD for a Treetops Gift Certificate, good for 2 rounds, with cart and range balls, for....$80 bucks. WOW! That's like a huge savings for Treetops. $125 dollars a round. So, I am now going to tell everyone that I have to use it before it expires and that would be on my Special weekend, and I am going alone. No time to wait, must go by myself.

So I contact the seller ScottyAllanB, who is probably the most reliable trader here on WRX. He probably comes from a long line of legitimate traders, dating back to the 1800's where people traded beaver pelts and what not. And not the crappy beaver pelts, the good ones.

Anyway, I contact this girl and I set the stage. It's a 4 day, limited time offer, NO possible long term relationship, type deal. Perfection. She's had since May to fantasize in the sweltering heat of the summer, same goes for me. Little emails here and there to cultivate the landscape, blah, blah.

So, I gave her my schedule of golfing and we made plans for the night time. Because the night time is the right time. Plus, my Grandma let me take her Sweet Dodge Charger and I had a $75 dollar gift certificate for Big Bucks Brewery that I was going to use on her as well. I felt like Ferris Bueller, pulling this crap.

So thanks again ScottyAllanB for giving me a great opportunity to live out the Tiger in myself and play some awesome courses in the mean time.

I am really glad you had a great time and I hope that the rest of the weekend was just as fun. The best part is that I sold it to someone that had a great time.

That was the best 4 days I had last year, and I wish it lasted about 4 weeks. Treetops quality has gone down a little since 1999, so I was a little disappointed in the greens, but you can't beat the atmosphere. I couldn't have asked for a better weekend, it was 83 each day, where the whole summer it never touched 73 in Gaylord. Plus, i had someone to hang out with so I wasn't bored after the golf. I could have just played the other courses, and not did the first day at treetops, but then my family would have came and that would have spoiled my plans.

Gaylord golf is the best IMO, for the money. I wish I could afford Forest Dunes and Boyne, but I can't.

Sorry dude, that would be the kiss of death. If I posted that and then somebody at the course showed her. I'd never be able to hit that ever again.

I can't even give you her facebook page. I fear someone getting in touch with her, and do causing me the ulitimate [i]bleep[/i]-block.
