Yeah, saw them last week and I can't remember if there is a undercut channel or not. I would say there is no undercut channel. The 3 iron looks completely different at setup than the retail X-22. Longer from toe to heel, less offset and a thinner topline. Still thick by tour standards but not as much as the retail set. They looked kind of like a pro-series version of the X-22. There was a V on the hosel. The 3 iron looked really nice!

I came across Cink's pics on there and I can give some info if anyone is interested. I played 18 with him last week and we talked equipment a few times. He is obviously playing the VR Cavitys. The only other new club in his bag that i noticed is the new VR Driver. 9.5 UST Attas X-Flex. He was playing with a 2 iron last week. It was impressive to see him hit that thing. I havent seen anyone hit a 2 iron in a long time much less the way he hits it.

I asked him about how much of an equipment guy he was. He said he has a complete shop in his house. Mitchell Machine, the whole works. Says he has done his own shafts in the past but now he leaves it to the Nike guys. The one thing he was really keying on is the lenght, loft, and lie of his irons. He plays them 3/4 inch over throughout the set, 4 degrees up in the short irons and 3 degrees in the long irons. X-100s straight in, no soft/hard stepping.

He says that whenever he gets a new set or a new wedge it goes straight to his shop and it is measured for length, loft, and lie. He wants to make sure it is exactly the same as the club it is replacing.

As for his wedges, 56 and 61, standard grinds. Nothing special.

Very interesting insight.

Surprised by his lie angle set up, most go flatter with their short irons to prevent a pull.
He also used TC shafts for quite a while, interesting to she him go back to using DG X-100.

The X-22 3 iron had this V on it

I don't know exactly what the difference is but the top line looked thinner than the retail one. Maybe there is less offset and that is why the setup is different.

It looks like Harrington's irons are Pi5's with the FG badge, they are not the same as the set Barnes plays.
