Bargain Golf in St. Louis

Not sure if this is the forum for it but I thought I'd toss out a heads up for people in St. Louis. The golf course Sugar Creek in High Ridge is offering a very sweet golf deal but it's very limited. Basically for $200 you get unlimited golf M-F for the next TWO years. For $400 you get it 7 days per week for the next 2 years. You have to walk or pay more for a cart but that's a pretty sweet deal. It's not the greatest course in the world but it has 18 holes and has a decent layout. The normal rate for a membership like this is $1200 per year!

 

I learned about this a few weeks ago at the Golf Expo. They were selling 50 of these memberships and the website says they are still available. Just a heads up in case anyone is interested. I don't work there, I'm just a new member.

Don't play there with forged clubs unless you like gouges. Rock central.

Check out Aberdeen, that's where I have my membership. Sugar Creek isn't worth it in my opinion. I actually know I guy who LIVES on the course and refuses to play there. Anyways, Aberdeen has some cheap memberships on one of the most difficult (from tips), fun layout, and interesting weather in the St. Louis area. If you have played out there you know what I'm talking about. But the course is always in great condition. Matt (super intendent) and Greg (pro) are great guys as well. I wouldn't waste my time at Sugar Creek, there are so many better value courses in the area.

Aberdeen is always a fun 18. I've also been impressed with the condition of Normandie the last year or so. It's still a great course and will test you all day long. It's good to see they aren't letting it go to hell anymore.

If you don't mind driving a little west on I-44, Wolf Hollow and Birch Creek offer some good deals too.

Good to know Normandie has been in good condition again. Aberdeen was always a favorite layout and I used to play it often until I joined a private cc.

I can definately agree that Aberdeen is a fun and tough course to play. Had many individual tournaments there and on days when there is a little wind it gets tough but fun.

Annbriar has a membership for $200 a month. Hard to beat that price and that course.

Also if you get on the email list for Quail Creek, they have alot of good deals they email out, cart fee only days, $20 after 12pm, ect.
