im still a little confused about why this is a discussion...Tiger will play whatever feels good, and Nike will put whatever badges on it that are necessary. he may have victory red badges on his irons, but they are very close to the mp29-mp14 combo he played for years...the cameron has been the same for years etc. so whether or not his driver has vr graphics or not, it will prob be very ver similar to his dymo 380cc

During the Bay Hill broadcast Brad Faxon mentioned that he ran into Tiger at the range. Apparently Tiger told Faxon he was messing with a new putter.

OMG i cant take this anymore and since i can stay without name here a direct quote from a person at nike from tiger " he has a method in has backup bag and uses it for practice rounds and is getting comfortable with it, however he has no plans of giving up his old putter he has won 13 mojors with. So until that breaks or lets him down he will not be gaming a nike made putter in competition." nike has replicated his scotty out of same steel and everything but as a golfer we can understand you like what you like.

While Tiger won't get rid of the sunday red, he has toned it back quite a bit - going to the salmon color and this year a lighter red as well.

But he has used the same one for 13, or at the worst a backup of the same one. He used a TEI3 for the first Masters win.

I'll be surprised if he switches to VR woods. IMO the SQ 2 woods that he and all the other Nike staffers game are some of the best fw woods ever.

He's used the same style, aside from the TE for the first, not the same exact putter, for his major wins.

The only equipment change Tiger will no doubt me making this year is that he will be playing with blue balls.

If for some reason he does switch to a Nike putter... That's be huge for Nike (and Tiger does 'owe' them one). There's no reason why they couldn't make a putter exactly like his Cameron... after all, it's that kinda what Cameron did to the Anser? All great putters, just saying it wouldn't be out of the ordinary for him to game a Nike prototype. I know Cally custom made one for Ernie sometime since he signed on that was very much like one of his old putters.

no he has used the exact same scotty cameron putter since the late 90s. its been refurbished but its the same one. SC makes him 4 or 5 back ups every year but he has never switched it out and they just end up being sold off for pretty hefty prices

If he wants to be true to Tibetan Buddhism he would wear the color yellow as it is the color of Ratnasambhava whose mantras focus on developing equanimity and equality and is associated with the attempt to destroy greed and pride. I doubt he would ever wear yellow for our society has a separate notation of yellow but to a Buddhist it would show his sincerity and humiliation.

Red is a very notable color in Buddhism as it is what monks wear and believed to be what Buddha himself wore after giving up his worldly possessions.

I just had this feeling Tiger will change shafts again and will be tinkering around with his setup

We saw this last year at Quail Hollow. He had a Project X shaft, a Voodoo and an Oban Devotion. The reasoning was that because of the time off, due to recovery from injury, he was unable to test out shafts like he normally would, at Islesworth. Instead, he ended up testing them, here.

Same thing this year. All this time off, getting ready for Augusta, he was probably not willing to test out as many shafts as he would like. He might very well just play what he did at the Masters, similarly to last year, when after testing those shafts he went back to the Whiteboard.

It's just more fodder until he tees it up tommorrow..........it's interesting that he seems to test a bunch of driver shafts, yet never really tests other shafts for his 3 or 5 woods.

was just watching the highlights of tiger teeing off in the Quail Hollow pro-am and i looks like he's changed his driver shaft again. no longer that burnt orange colour, now white with black strip up the butt end. paused it and it kinda looks like a Mitsubishi Rayon Fubuki. maybe he was paying attention to phil's drives at the masters?this is the video
