Can you imagine the boost the new Tour Yellow Z-star would be getting if Furyk had it in play? He's looking real solid right now, and a win with Tour Yellow would put the interest level in this ball through the roof.

He did put the ZTX irons and the new hybrid in play for the first time this week...so thats not too bad for Srixon.

Besides...VJ will win at Bay Hill with the yellow ball next week

I just got a dozen from a member here. I can hardly wait to break one out tomorrow. The old senior pro who despises anything different in our game will absolutely hate them. Plus I think it will be easy to see on our brown grass.

Doesn't he play the diamond? They are currently still working on the yellow ZStar diamond. From my knowledge its only available in the ZStar and ZStar X.

i bought two dozen, and have enjoyed them thus far. i've noticed no appreciable performance difference from the proV1 (my old ball).

the yellow color drew some comments from my playing partners.....several of them, though very good players, weren't aware it's a tour caliber ball....and thought i was busting out an old yellow top flight as a joke.

btw, the yellow is a sort of a glow-in-the-dark-esque translucent yellow......the coloration isn't opaque like the old yellow/orange balls from the 80's.

Got a couple of sleeves the other day. Played Eagle Vines with it and really liked the ball. It was really easy to spot and track.

Felt the same and performed the same as the other z-star x's that I played.

My buddy called it the lime green ball...not the yellow ball, as it is not really yellow. I also got called Jerry Pate and whomever else they could think of who played colored balls back in the day.

All in all loved the experience. Good balls. Creates a little chatter with your group. Hope they are around for a while as I will probably play them some more.

FYI it would be cool to see someone win with one on tour.

btw, tim clark has played the yellow zstar on tour.

i'm guessing the guy srixon most wants to play it is vijay.......followed by boo (although boo doesn't seem to get himself on leader boards at all these days).

no joke....i woke up hoping to see some good highlights from the final round or just even see the winner....but nope....tiger's interview over and over and over and over. Feel bad for Furyk...hasn't won in two years and when he does, it gets overshadowed.....yellow ball or not.

Agree I stayed up half the night waiting to watch Bobby Jones: Stroke of Genius only to have Tigerpoloza jammed down my throat.

In comparison to what?

I've been using the Z-Star since it was released and have found it the best that out there in terms of overall distance, durability and greenside control. No other ball (IMO) has accomplished this in [b]all three[/b] of these categories.

I happen to teach a tour player who plays the diamond who wanted the yellow ball and was told they do not currently have it in yellow and he would have to wait. It is being made but simply isn't done/perfected yet.

The Z-Star X is longer than the Nike One Platinum and better feeling than the Callaway i-Tour x. I would say distance is the same with the Callaway and Pro-V1 x. All were balls of my past, but I've been playing the Z-Star X for about a year and can't wait to put the Lemon Lime Z-Star X in my bag.
