The Range balls were Srixon Z Star........but I noticed a little mark after the Star part, maybe a + sign.....New Version coming? I am messing with some Yellow Z Star's and mine do not have anything after the Star part.

Anyone?

That's because they are Tourstage irons with the Tourstage markings removed. They just recently added the bridgstone markings - they used to be plain with no markings whatsoever.

Thanks for the great pics! Saw that Jeff Quinney is no longer with Cleveland, that was a quick switch. Guess it had to do with him wanting to stay with Ping irons.

They actually had all the brands to pick from for range balls, and there was a circle of about 6 guys with the unenviable job of sorting them out according to brand. I'm sure there are different versions of the Srixon balls out there, whether or not that is one or just a mark for practice I don't know.

THose were Z Star "Diamond" balls.... Not available to the public I believe... If I had more "balls" (pun intended) I'd have asked the balls sorting guys to let me have one so I could try it out... I heard Kevin Stadler talking about it last year at Houston... I understand it's a hi compression version of the Z-Star just for pros.

The previous poster was correct though.. Every ball under the sun available for the guys to choose and practice with... It's just not fair the benefits these guys get.. But man are they good!

Diamond is a tweener between Z-Star and Z-Star X. Very good ball.
