Titleist 909 D2 VS Taylor Made Rp SuperTri Tp

Which one do you prefer and why ?

I haven't been able to demo both drivers at the same place - so still wondering.....

I can get a very good offer on a t**-ty 909 D2 with the t**-ty Diamana shaft in it.

Which of the 2 drivers do you prefer and what shafts did you test in them before you bought your favorite ?

I'm beginning to feel the HO rise in me once again - it's been a long time

I can't say anything about the TM but I just recently grabbed a 909D2 with a Whiteboard in it and was pleasantly surprised. It's not the perfect fit for me but I got a great deal on it.

It feels good, (Like most Titleists) when you hit it and it goes straight!

Until I hit the SuperDeep/909D3/FT Tour/Cobra S9-1 Pro D's, I'll stick with this just because of it's accuracy!

I can compare looks and say I prefer the D2's appearance over the SuperTri. (I have a problem with those TM shaft graphics!)

Sorry I don't know the shaft info....but I hit the 909d2 and the supertri one after the other on a monitor. The launch angle was higher and the spin was the lower with the supertri. I believe the 909 was 12.5/3500 and the TM was 14.7/2000 for me.

demoed both on the weekend.
had very similar results with both. launch a bit higher with the super tri.
i decided to get the d2 because i hit the middle more often. had a heivier shaft in it than the tm and could keep good tempo with out trying to slow down my swing. would recomend trying both before you buy as they have different looks and feel, great golf clubs.

909 hands down much much better driver. Its great to work the ball feel and looks better.

1500 rpm's different? something not quite right here

I don't know much about that kinda stuff and I thought it was strange too. That was a few different drives also. The fitter seemed to be surprised by the numbers but it wasn't like I only hit one ball. All I can think of is that maybe the supertri is the "perfect" club for me, or at least that's what I'm telling myself.
