Some new Sunset Beach Putters Coming my Way

New finishes and Headshapes

It is not a secret that I have a few Sunset Beach Putters already. I asked a while ago for Chris and LaMont to send me pics of ANYTHING new they are working on or that I might like. I am thrilled with these two so far, I am having two of my own made now. They told me these are going to a PGA pro for testing and to make a final decision on what he wants, but asked that I not reveal who it is. I have wanted something more Anser 2 like and have been in love with the Zing style all my life. So I am adding one of each to my bag as soon as they are finished. The Ocracoke(Zing Style) has a shelf milled in on the back, which really sets off the head to me. The Southport is Anser2 ish, but I love the way the bumpers almost create their own sightline without a sightline.<br /><br />They are both finished in what they call a "Flash Oxide"

I normally don't like the Zing-style of the Ocracoke but that is one nice looking putter. Congrats!

I remember asking them if they could do the Zing style in a different finish and they said they are working on it. This must it.

There's a piece about custom putters in Golf Digest this month. Sunset Beach Putters is one of the shops mentioned in the article. Congrats to Sunset.

I'm absolutely loving these custom off brand market putters! I currently play a Piretti, but after hearing about Sunset Beach I'm going to ask for a quote and get one made. My fiance can't figure out what she wants to buy me for our wedding, but I think that Southport will look nice in the bag. And how's the maintenance on that finish you got?

Lots of pics of my two in post #22 below. Lamont did an amazing job. One is a custom nickel plate, the other is an oil rubbed bronze southport.
