Ping U Wedge in i15

Spotted this club in a guys bag at the range. He said he got it this week, so it looks like the U Wedge in the i15s are now available for the ping fans that were looking for this club.

I forgot to mention he said he had it bent the maximum weak they could achieve to get it closer to being a sand wedge... I guess he really likes the irons and wanted to play as complete a set as possible until the new wedges are available. He also had a G15 L wedge to complete the bag.. Looking for all conforming grooves I guess.

he would still have had to have had his irons checked to make sure they conform as every iron used in 2010 groove rule tournaments still need to be checked even if they are cast or forged with conforming grooves.

my testing with ping a week ago had me go thourgh 23 iron and wedges head to come up with 11 conforming heads.

every clubs made for a tour player has to have their grooves checked so there is no garuntee his clubs are 2010 legal.

mmmmm.... did not see that one when I was buying wedges this past winter. Settled for an iwedge instead, now I wish I hadn't.

He said the tag that came with it said it was 51 degrees bent to 1 club weaker which was 54 degrees which I guess is all they will do...
