It's been confirmed that the Big Cat is playing a Fubuki this week in his Nike driver.

Fubuki is a technology driven shaft and it is designed to increase clubhead
speed while maintaining low spin and high launch. If he can control his dispersion and the shaft feels good to him, and he gets faster ball speed, what more could you want from a shaft?

Judging from the footage on SportsCenter just now, he hit a snap hook on the first hole. Since he had such great success with the blueboard, why did he switch?

Because he caved the face of the driver he had the BB in. When he switched to a new head it spun more so he switched to the Whiteboard. He's now playing a different head than that, thus the switch to the AD DI, and now the Fubuki (Alpha?).

It has the paint of the standard Fubuki. But you can believe that it is neither the Alpha or the standard. More than likely some sick proto painted like the standard.

And yeah, I'll be he watched the final round of the Master's and saw that Phil would have outdriven him by 25-30 yards on every hole. Tiger just couldn't have that.

What would be really funny is that if he showed up with an FT Tour/Fubuki combo during a practice round. Now that would be something!

For his driver you mean Whiteboard yes?

He had/has the Blueboard in his fairway woods, not the driver.

The one pictured above isn't. I'm sure it is some special Fubuki too. Maybe just like he liked the way CHIII was hitting the DI, he liked the way Phil was hitting the Fubuki.

He played an 83x Blueboard in his driver during much of his 2005-2006 romp. He didn't go with the whiteboard until he caved in the face of his SQ Tour/BB combo. Then a year or so later he snapped the shaft of the SQ Tour/WB combo. He had a new SQ/WB combo made only with a WB that didn't have the flowerband (I'm guess tiger doesn't like logos at address) Used that until he switched the 380cc Dymo/WB combo, and now the VR Tour/GD combo. We'll see what's in play tomorrow.

Fubuki Alpha has the Ninja stars a dark grey and the rest of the shaft white. the reg Fubuki has the top end a dark gun metal gray and the stars darker than that.

One of the Nike Tour Van guys brought out 2 VR Drivers to Tiger on the 18th hole today, I'm guessing for him to hit on the range after his presser. He did hit it way right on 1, and way right on 3. He did pipe it on 4, but hit 3W on several other holes, so I'm guessing he wasn't happy with the driver today.

Rock Iishi was also walking with Tiger today as he was testing a new ball that he will be putting into play later this year. He mentioned it in his press confrence.
