Easiest range finder for acquiring target??

I have a Bushnell Pinseeker 1500 from a few years back, still works very well. I am not sure what I would replace it with at this time if I needed to do that.

Bushnell is just plain high quality!!! I am still using my Bushnell Yardage Pro Compact 600 that I bought in 1990. Simple-Simon, aim it at the target and it gives an accurate reading. Very durable , has ben dropped and traveled with for now 20 years and never a hicup. The 9 volt battery lasts a season easy. If I ever need another one it will defintely be a Bushnell

Just to pile on, the GX-1 is a great unit. I've had mine for a year and it is every bit as good as my brothers Bushnell 1500. Plus, it's lighter, smaller, and more rigid. Leupold makes the best rangefinders in the business.

Not to get off-topic here, but...

Been carrying a Bushnell 1500 w/slope for 3-4 years (?), and I think it's dying. I can't hit anything over about 200 yards now and I can only hit solid vertical things inside of that, and flags under about 140. Googled it and it sound like it might need repaired at Bushnell, which may not be worth it.

I'm looking at the Bushnell 1600 because I love the one I have, but am open to others. The slope thing is nice since I live in hilly country. Any suggestions? Is mine dead? Anybody else have this problem?

Leupold has the new OLED technology and it's really awesome but, the Bushnell V2 has some models on sale. Although I don't know if it has the slope feature. The Bushnell V2 works great but the battery goes dead to quickly. And they are not cheap. If I had to do it again I'd get the 1500-1600. Would've already made up the cost difference in the batteries over the last 2 years.

Call Bushnell - for about $10 send it back - they will either repair it (doubtful with the 1500...they DO go bad - they are precision instruments that eventually get out of whack) but they will most likely offer you 2 options: 1) repair or better yet 2) replacement at a substantial discount for the 1600 and they will credit back the $10.

Their customer service/resolution is very good IMO. I had a similar issue with a 1500 and before I sent it back I called them....over the phone they told me the above - but as long as I sent it back, they'd offer me a 1600 at about 35% off of list. Very fair imo.
