casual shoes as golf shoes?

I just purchased the Pine/White pair of Air Anthem golf shoes today. Ill be trying them out tomorrow. Im stoked to finally have a casual shoe to wear as a golf shoe. Anyone else game these? Or anything similar? Thoughts?

I like the Ecco Street Premier better, I plan on getting a pair soon.

Generally I like the idea of a casual shoe for a short evening 9.

:partytime2:I only wear white shoes to golf in. Help with alignment. They stand out against the greens so i know where my feet are.


Seriously though, alittle Shout and an old toothbrush keeps em clean as new.


I too liked the eccos but not for twice as much as the nikes.

I have my eyes set on the NIKE AIR RATE shoes. But the Air Anthem are my second choice. 

I am not a fan of "classic" golf shoes. I need something to fit into my massive sneaker addiction. *face in palms*

I like nike's move towards a simpler golf shoe some of their athletic golf shoes of the past were awful

i have used mine for only 1 round but am very pleased with them so far...very comfortable and the insoles were softer than what i expected--which is good!!

i use size 8.5W for my adidas tour and powerbands but decided on 8W for the air anthem and the fit was perfect...

I've worn mine for a couple of rounds and they felt great. Really comfortable and stable. My only complaint is that they look kind of goofy when wearing with shorts...kind of bulky. Other than that, the air anthem's are a great choice for casual style golf shoes.

I can give an official review now that I have worn them for a few days. They are as comfortable as sneakers. They are very stable too, more stable than my SynrGs. Great shoe. Not to mention I look fuqin snazzy.

I have worn the street premiers. The spikes on them are basically non existent. They are very non functionable as golf shoes.

I want a pair of the white and green Eccos, I'll probably end up with a white and green pair of Air Anthems. If someone owns both, could you post a comparison between them?

I'm pissed Ecco Street are not avaiable in size 14, that is a shame. Com'on Ecco get with it, there are big-footed golfers out there too.

I love my Air Rates. They are by far the lightest, most comfortable pair of golf shoes I have owned. My current collection includes Eccos (Hyrdromax and Street Premier's), Footjoy Icons, and Adidas adiPures. The Nike Air Rates are my practice and walking shoes for the occasional 9-holer. I can't believe how light they are.

Don't think there are any blue whites anthems.
Btw I got a pair myself. It's an eu model.and it seems eu model is genuine leather, while the us model is synthetic. The eu model doesn't have any wide versions though.

Bought these over a dry joy x wide. Fjs costs twice as much. Hope being cheap doesn't, cost me.

Not sure if its a factory fault or just the design. But when i wear the anthems...the leftside of my left foot hurts like crazy. Just above the little toe.
When i feel inside the shoe..I notice a slight bump beneth the lining of the shoe. Its not so big, but when i am hitting golfballs...it presses into my feet and its killing me.

Anyone have the same problem with this shoe> Just a warning when buying this shoe. Will check it out tomroow to see if its manufacturing fault or what.

Ps when looking at my old footjoys...the front of the shoes or always a clean design. Anthems look great...but worthless if its to painfull to play golf in.
