Worst feeling shaft

The NV was good if you had enough club head speed to hit it. To many people got them in a flex that was to stiff for them and wondered why it felt bad. The average joe would love the NVS. 105 swing speen with an NV-X flex = no feel.

Seems like most people don't like butt-stiff shafts like the PX, V2, or PL Red. I find they really help control flight and spin, so feel be damned that's what I use. I wonder if people mean the actual feeling of striking a ball or the way the shaft loads and unloads as being bad.

Probably the reason I like the NV. I use the regular flex.

Well, of course people are talking about the loading and unloading. That's what shaft feel is. It has next to nothing to do with striking the ball.

I personally like PX and KBS, dynamic golds are just way too heavy for me

Nope, I don't like the PX because I hit moon balls with them.

YS-6+ ... Thought I liked it, swing it a bit faster than it wants and duck hook city! Decided I hated it.

PX (to be somewhat fair I've only hit 6.0 and everything I hit went right 20 degrees, maybe 5.5 is a better match)

...but then again they were rough on my elbows - so thumbs down.

I actually like all those shafts. Playing a PL Red in my Cobra S2 3wood at the moment and I like the feeling and distance. Great shaft IMO and same with the V2.

I hate the Aldila Proto "By You" ... I have had this shaft in four clubs, hated all four, and after the second realized it was the shaft. (I like the Aldila NV, so I'm not bashin' Aldila).

I have played graphite shafts in my irons until recently, so I suppose with my VERY limited experience (Ping ZZ65, Ping JZ, Project-X Flighted) I'm gonna say .... ZZ65.

I didn't like the V2 or the V2 high launch. I like pretty much all Aldilah shafts, and as with any other shaft, if they aren't the correct flex for your swing, they won't feel good. At present I have a Stultz Tri edge arrow shaft in my driver that is one of the best nanotech shafts I've hit.

My favorite steel shaft is PX, then DG. I don't like KBS, they have no feel for me.

Vodoo and NVs were the pits in woods but the worts ever was an Adilia HM-40.

Irons I would say some titanium shafts I had in the 80's, can remember the company.

Irons: Didn't like the PX when I tried them out. Always played TT (usually DG) until I just had a set built with KBS, so we'll see how those go.

Woods: Never liked anything Grafalloy, always liked the VS Proto, but never had a ton of experience with the NV. Never really liked anything from Fuji either. Hated, absolutely HATED the feel of the Fubuki in the FT-9 head, but I think it was too soft for me. Thing just felt dead, like the head was loose, when I made contact.
