Darn, did you see is press conferece! Poor guy has been going through a lot. Very emotional. I find it impossible not to root for the guy after such an honest display of humanity.

Bubba's certainly got a lot going on right now. I tweeted to his caddy Ted Scott (who is not with Bubba this week, because of the birth of another little caddy) what he was feeding Bubba. Is reply "other caddies". Bubba has some serious game. I'd love to see him win this week.

What did he say in his press conference? I just got home from work not too long ago and didn't get to catch any golf. I've been a big fan of Bubba ever since he and I had a lengthy conversation on Twitter. What other pro would do that with fans?

Unfortunately I'm an idiot and failed to realize that TNT was hosting the coverage so I didn't get to watch any of it today. Is there some place where you can watch press conferences and highlights online that anyone knows of? When he won he was really emotional and I think it was a good thing to get those emotions out. I am pulling for the guy also with everything going on. Good luck Bubba!

He mentioned his father in the hospital with his cancer issues and then talked about his wife who a physician told her she had what could possibly be a tumor around the frontal skull area , they then sought a 2nd opinion at Duke university hospital who told them them she has a enlarged pituatary gland which for athletic females over 6 feet tall is sometimes common and not a possible cancerous tumor , i would guess you could understand Bubba's emotional response when his father his which may be terminal cancer and then a MD telling his wife of a possible tumor in her brain .. by the way this all started with a question from the assembled media in the press conference

i absolutely love bubba. he is one of the coolest dudes out on the tour and one of the funnest to watch imo. saw him at innisbrook in tampa earlier this year.. he is the man.

I recall reading Bubba himself has ADD and difficulty focusing. Looks like he has a lot to deal with. I really enjoy watching him play and wish him all the best - both on and off the course.

this is just a perfect example of why you have to give people the benefit of the doubt sometimes. During the Steve Elkington controversy a few years ago ("veterans can kiss my a^^"...or whatever he said) he got a bad rap. He was heavily critisized here. Everyone is entitled to a few slip-ups...i've always liked Bubba, he seems like a really cool guy

I though it was cool that he had a big bright lime green watch on during his presser. Contrast that with some of these other players and their ostentatious Tag or Rolex or whatever they are wearing. Also, in his presser, he mentioned that if he shot an 82 he wouldn't go home and pout because he realized he was lucky enough to be able to play on the PGA Tour. IMO he's one of the guys on tour who "gets it."

It was really refreshing to watch his interview. A big kid who appreciates the fact that he's playing a game that he loves for a lot of money. After all the short, surly interviews we've been force fed over the last few months this one was like a breath of fresh air.

I've always been kind of indifferent about Bubba, but I think I'll probably be pulling for him now. I was impressed.

What I like about BW is he seems to just go out there and hit the golf ball, or should I say attacks it. His caddy tried to talk him out of hitting driver off the fairway and use a fairway wood (I forget which par 5), but Bubba went ahead anyway. He pulled it and said to his caddy something to the effect "it's all on me".

I'm just mad he can hit a flop shot farther than me. I would really like to see him win. I also enjoy the emotional shots after the 72nd hole. GL BW!

You guys must be young (if so, good for you). That's an old school look that screams professionalism and and seemingly deep respect for the game....not "dorky" at all, but you have your opinions.

Elk has been a short-tempered dick for a long time. I've spent time in Houston at Champions Golf Club and know this first hand. Again, maybe my opinion but I've been witness. Go Bubba!

Just to clarify....Bubba's caddy DID talk him into hitting the 3 wood over the driver off the deck, which Bubba proceeded to pull way left. Bubba was mad at himself for NOT hitting the driver off the deck. Some players would have blamed the caddy for that and Bubba blamed himself for not going with his gut.


Love to watch him play and love his interviews as the are so much more enlightening than most. Really pulling for him this week to keep up his good play!

Bubba is my favorite golfer right now by far. What really made me root for the guy is that he is fun to watch on and off the course. I get just as much entertainment from him through twitter. I'm pulling for him every week. He also responds to almost every tweet I send him.
