Best low launching driver shaft.

Whats the best low launching driver shaft on the market?

 

I've used Diamana WhiteBoard's and Prolaunch Red's but they don't really lower my flight that much. I use an 8.5 degree FT Tour at the moment with Fubuki 63x5ct in Stiff tipped half an inch. I tee the ball very high, people have suggested lowering it but I like to sweep the ball off the tee and lower tee height leads too increased side spin for me. I'm picking up an 8.5 degree FT9 Imix head this week and wonder what the best low launching Imix shaft would be.

Bridgestone J33r 420 head. Really low spin and paired with a whiteboard...very nice combo!!

I'm not sure what shaft would get you a lower launch than the whiteboard. I'd check out your local golf store or the Callaway tour fit van if it's coming to your area and see if they have some Imix shafts that you can test out.

A whiteboard would be my vote from the imix.

Also, try that 420 with a PX- it's ridiculous. I love mine!

All launch lower than the WB. I found my WB (even tipped 2") to be more of a low/mid launch. Nice low spin, though.

No idea if they come in imix.

You might need to tweak your swing if you are still hitting it too high with that head and shaft combo. I have an 8.5 degree FT-5 with a Prolaunch Red tipped 1" that I hit about half as high as my old 9.5 degree Launcher 460 Comp with Proforce V2. My swing speed is around 120 mph and I noticed a big difference in roll and total yardage. See if you can get your swing on high speed video. Look at your body position (spine angle) and shaft angle at impact. Compare your position to some of the longer hitting pros. Make some adjustments if necessary.

I have an 8.5 d2 and I have the same problem the whiteboard, Prolaunch red, Vs proto NOTHING worked for but I then got a Project X 7A3 and i Can tell a huge difference, I play it 44.5 if it makes a difference. HIGHLY RECCOMMENED giving the Project X 7A3 a try! TRUST ME

Rombax is awesome as is the Whiteboard, but best of all is the GD P9003. I have all 3 and you can't go wrong with any of them. I'm selling them on here right now, actually, if you're interested... Time to try "Crazy" shafts.

If it has to be a factory iMix shaft, you're stuck with Whiteboard. But if you want the lowest launching, get a Rombax 8Z08. That thing is ridonkulously low launching.

go heavier weight
something in the high 70s to mid 80s would lower your launch compared to a 60gram fubuki or wb
the ust tour weight v2s are low launching 86gram is the lightest
project x graphite are low launching
have you tried going heavier and stiffer in flex?

You know what... Teeing it high or Low "Isn't it" - it's whether you are hitting it high, low, or center on the face.
That is to say... If U, T' it high... You're prob. Hitting it high on the face & launching it high!
Changing the shaft - Can't help such behavior!? Right!? Everything that I've ever hit off the top 10-15% of the face, of any of my drivers...balloons Up, Up, & Away!

Accra Tour proto Z+ similar characteristics to an Ahina. I rotate this shaft depending on course/conditions with my DI it's a pretty low launch shaft.
