Best Nike driver?

What is Nike's best driver to date for the single figure handicapper who is a good driver of the ball but bad shot goes left?

 

I've borrowed a VR STR8 Tour with PX shaft from my Pro. It's 10.5 degree which is too much loft for me but he didn't have a 9.5 for me to demo. I love the feel & performance of the PX shaft so would like to game that. I have the club set 2 degree's open and wouldn't use any other setting so the STR8 fit isn't really that much of a benefit for me. The size of the hosel doesn't look appealing to me so I'm thinking I maybe should try the glued traditional hosel version instead? Or maybe even the SQ Tour as they are cheap as chips and the VR II is due out soon which means if I wait till the new year I'd get a VR Tour for a lot less.

 

Who's hit all them all and how do they compare?

I would definitely put my vote in for the VR Tour with the glued hosel. Open face, with that Project X shaft you love!

I have a 9.5* Nike VR Tour str8 fit with the voodoo stiff flex shaft. This combo hits bombs! I average 280 off the tee with the occasional 300 yard drives...But if I were you, I would wait for the Vr Pro to come out in November. Its hosel is smaller and all black so it is less noticeable at address

You won't find better than the Vr Tour glued. The SQ Tour 460 (or SQ Tour 410 if you can find one) is right behind it. If you go with the STR8-Fit version I'd wait for the VR Pro due to the head shape change. The Vr Pro is pear shaped versus the current "C" shaped head. The other plus for the Vr Pro STR8-Fit is the move to the all black neck. Sure it's oversize compared to a glued hosel but it looks very, very good.

I'm from the UK too so I know it's like 10 to 4 in the morning and I'm hooked on the PS3 right now as us students have nothing better to do

Sounds like a good plan. Get a SQ Tour, pickup a BiMatrix shaft for it and wait for the new drivers to be released around Christmas and Santa can bring me one! The SQ Tour will be a great backup to what ever new driver I decide to get. Depending on the price difference I may still opt for the VR Tour over the new models.

Anybody hit the new Nike Pro Combo's yet? how do they compare to the old Pro Combo's? Also is there a new model of the CCi forged iron coming out?

That'll be the joys of shift work and a role that's weighted towards evening and nighttime work mate.

I'm always up and about when it's dark.We also have a houseful of insomniac dogs and a couple of hyperactive youngsters too; so, all in all, it's a good thing I'm a bit of Maggie Thatcher-type who can cope with four hours or so of sleep per day. Usually, if I'm posting in the wee hours, I'm at work, in the office, and putting off the paperwork I need to catch up on after things have quietened down in favour of something more interesting or, alternatively, will have just got in from work after a late turn and will be tip tapping away relatively quietly on the laptop - as opposed to watching a film or some TV which, were it to wake up my girl, would have me copping for more flak than RAF Bomber Command.

you cant go wrong with the Vr Tour glued PX shaft. Small head 420cc , 2* open, looks great at adress, and very long.
