TM Burner 2.0 Ghost Driver

After looking at the pictures about five times I have to say the white is growing on me...

Surprising when they attribute the added speed of the past few years to the dual crown aerodynamic capabilities, yet they go away from it this year. Are we at a 47" stock shaft yet?

Looking forward to seeing when it comes out. May have to get one but will compare with R11. Wanna see what the R11 face adjustments are about. Superfast TP is supposed to be the best performer right?

I was the same way but decided I really like that clean look they have. I have seen enough black drivers for as while !!

I used to be a component guy and recall that perhaps 8 or 9 years ago there was a head called the White Lightening that had a following on the long drive circuit. Never played one myself, but if it is an indication, they ended up changing it to black. Granted that company didn't quite have the marketing machine that Taylor Made has behind them, but the white thing certainly isn't a first.

In regards to this driver, I agree with previous posters - I'll swing a sledge hammer if it goes long and straight.

wow, have you guys doubting any difference besides the color ever had a look at either driver?
There is no more double-crown-technology in the ghosted Burner, just the most obvious difference, I bet there are a ton more.

It depends on you and your swing. A lot of the TM guys are swinging the regular version. There is probably more of those out there than the TP version. I know Goosen was playing the TP version though.

im in the 108-110 right in between stiff and x, difficult to try if its not gonna be FCT

Other than the white paint, how is that any different from the current Burner Superfast? The head shape looks exactly the same!

I have an Adams 9064LS and a Titty 910D2. I had the Superfast, but it was cut down to 45 inches. The 46 was just too long and I swung wild with it. But the 46 inches was literally about 4 or 5 yards longer than both of them. Once I cut that down to where I could handle it and gain more accuracy, the difference was within a yard or two. A fair trade for finding more fairways with it. I had mid launch (GD Pershing in the Adams, Ka'lil in the Titty, Matrix Ozik in the TM), mid spin shafts to help limit sidespin in each driver. They all came off the face like a missle. Actually very nice ball flight in all of them.

Sold it because to me it just didn't feel quite as good as the Adams (crazy I know), but it still felt good. I could have kept any one of them, but I know TM too well and knew there'd be something else to replace it. It didn't even take that long, unfortunately.

I don't care what it looks like. If it performs as well as my Burner 2.0 irons it will be going in the bag. I'm saving my money right now just in case.

It looks ok but if I was going for a white driver I would likely go for the R11, not crazy about the large toe graphics.

There are going to be no black clubs offered. and by the way taylormade has picked up huge shares with the ghost putter. White is the way everyone will go in the next year or 2 taylormade just knows what works!

Wow, for the first time in a long time I must say, there is nothing coming from TaylorMade that interest me anymore. I have been a TaylorMade guy for quite a few years, but the direction they are taking is not the direction I want to go.

White clubs will get old fast, and will look awful in a short amount of time IMO. Guess its time to broaden my outlook.

white is just the beginning; custom color clubheads are just around the corner...you can match your clubhead to your myjoys! in the style forum, people will opine with disgust when philly mick improperly matches his driver/belt/shoe combos...

People like things different. Drivers are meant to be all black?? I dont think there is a black driver law that i am aware of and i am pretty sure that trend has only been for maybe the last 10 yrs. If i asked my grandpa he would say drivers are meant to be wood. i am sure there will be plenty of black drivers out there for you to buy, i wouldnt worry so much

I think that white is going to get scuffed and dirty pretty fast. Is it a hard, gloss finish or a matte finish?

 

I have owned tons of taylormade stuff over the years, but they are losing me on the white thing. Then again, I have never owned a white belt either. I wonder if there is a correlation...:D
