I'm pretty sure what the OP means is that he wants to create a line of clothing with graphics featuring a Christian theme and likely to have a company that extolls Christian virtues. He want to appeal specifically to Christians. So it's more Christian [b]Sports Apparel[/b].


I'm pretty sure he isn't thinking of [b]Christian Sports[/b] Apparel as that would likely entail togas, lion pits and other unsavory things.

The shirts going to have bible verses on it and most likely the logo and graphics will have some sort of Christian symbolism in them.

I am Christian (Catholic). I just can't see buying something like this...the verse on the sleeve seems a bit "much." It also seems to contradict Matthew 6:5-6.

I am not telling you what you're doing is "wrong" by any means, but I really do think that this idea might be a bit preachy and is not really an effective business plan. I'm all for a company based on Christian morals, in fact, I admire the the idea, but I'd leave it at that.

That's a great idea.

But I look for a bunch of different things. I usually try and have one of every color golf polo (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, navy blue, light blue, purple, pink, grey, black, white, etc. etc.) in solid colors and then I have some striped ones and ones with other designs. The biggest thing for me is the price because I can't afford to pay $80 for a polo shirt so I have a $30 max and the pants just have to be the right fit. I have really muscular thighs and so I have a hard time finding pants that fit in the right spots. I would say go with the new school stylings like what Puma does but don't go way over the top. Some of the companies have designs that are just really strange. But the style now is bright colors with matching belts and lots of white so sticking to that along with some more traditional options as well.

I would say a good rule of thumb is: would you wear it on Sunday at Augusta knowing that you are in the east coast cathedral of golf with all eyes on you. Maybe that isn't the best example but I know that I get turned off by a polo shirt with too much going on.

Good luck to you in the future, sounds like a great plan. As a fellow Christian I would love to be a part of that, so keep me in the loop.

I understand that a lot of people might think that it is being preachy, But I have hopes that it will not get too over the top. I want to have a nice basic logo and with the verse on the sleeve, I figured that it would be ones that would be of interest or favorite verses and they don't necessarily have to be preaching at people. The color of the stiching would probably be the same color as the shirt so that it would not be too distracting to the human eye. I know it is tough to make it in the clothing industry and it takes a lot of effort to make everyone happy, but I would hope to create a clothing line that could be creative and still allow faith to be incorporated into it. I will try to get some pictures up in a few days of some shirts that I have drawn.. I hope not too many people are going to eat it alive. But I just want to say thanks to everyone for their input.
