Mini '9 hole' Review of True Shoes in the PNW!

in laughably Wet Conditions

Ok- finally had an opportunity to try out my pair of Trues' on a clear, but very very wet course here in the PNW....

First off- this is only my opinion...and I'm not paid for reviews or even get discounted products for my typing skills (although I'm open to the opportunity:)

It was a whopping 37*, cloudy but no rain in sight, slight breeze and the course was saturated with agua to the point where- even if it looked like solid ground it wasn't...merely stepping was like walking in a marsh- tonawawa! I generally avoid these types of conditions at all costs, but I have been jonesing to play...

Me: 6'2", 195lbs, 6 handicap, SS=108-113, size 12 foot (formally wore Nike TW '10 size 12)

Now- since I got the Trues I have been hitting the range a couple times a week- most notably I really found a big improvement in 'finding my weight shift'...or rather my incorrect weight shift (overshifting)...which IMO was one of the best training aids I have ever had!

I played with a 5 some of friends(all of which are WRX members too!...so I'm sure they will pipe in a give me some more crap:) which I hadn't seen in sometime- the first reaction to the Trues' was "hey those don't look like clowns feet" (however the do for me when I look down). Looks are in the eye of the beholder...so I'll just leave this part alone.

Performance- 1st- these Trues are super Lightweight and I felt like I was walking on clouds, especially considering the conditions been super wet- what a huge advantage. And they are super waterproof-most of the 9 holes I walked - each step water flowed Over the toes- but my feet where dry at the end of the day (I was sure I was going to have wet feet just from the depth of the turf water..but I never had an overflow surprisingly)....
Traction- which all of my playmates asked me at least 2-3 times each 'have you slipped yet?"..."not yet" I would say and I never did and felt very secure on side hills up and down and everywhere I went- ( now it actually may be a better test in drier conditions, as as wet as it was that may have contributed to nearly being 'stuck' in???)

Lastly- these are unbelievably comfortable, my bedroom slippers feel harsh compared to the Trues'......can't wait to play more in them. Oh, and to those wondering I shot +1 over for 9 holes, with 2 birds including putting two balls in the water (yeah but- you try not hitting a shot Fat in these conditions :)

Good review. I have been looking at these and just can't believe that they have the same traction and support of traditional soft spikes. I will have to wait for a follow up in dryer conditions.
