seeking information
there have been multiple threads on both drivers, but not a whole lot of information has been disclosed. plenty of guys hitting them on tour, but no solid info release other than specs. if you have hit either driver, please compare it to your gamer. will either one be in your bag? going to be hard waiting until MID FEB to hit both of these!

excuse my impatience!

2 weeks ago, I tried the superfast tp 2.0 on the simulator at Golftown. It had the sotck matrix HD6 stiff shaft. Even though the shaft wasn't stiff enough for my swing speed, I really liked the driver. Really hot face ! On 10 shot I had at least 4 of them that were in the 170's ball speed with 11-13* (10.5 head) LA and 2300-2600 rpm of spin. Over 295 carry on the LM. Nice tight draws. The white didn't bothered me at all and felt it was very easy to hit the ball in the middle of the club face. The 2.0 looks much better whitout the dual crown ! And that srew weight in the tow is a very nice addition. Only thing, the shaft is still way too long ! I had to choke down at least 1"-1.5"...
My current drivers are 9064ls 9.5 with Accra XC65 x stiff and 9015D 10.5 with VS proto 70X. I'm long and consistent on the course. On the LM, I'd hit maybe 2 out of 10 over 170 mph BS. And with the right shaft too... That tells you how hot superfast 2.0 tp is ! I'd get it if I had the money to spare.

Thanks for the early review! None of our area stores in Oklahoma have either R11 or Superfast 2.0 demo yet. I'm excited to see the SF2.0 TP without the dual crown. I really like my 9015D but it doesn't have the forgiveness of TM heads. Hopefully with the smaller footprint of the SF2.0 TP will allow for some workability along with the distance and forgiveness. Maybe this is the year I send the 9015D to the bench...

LObin - thanks again! i enjoyed your thread/review. how did the driver sound? love the muted sound of the sftp and am hoping the 2.0 is similar. honestly the small cc head and toe weight is what is so appealing to me.

Metalhead - I probably will get both eventually. The FT TOUR is doing great for me with a very unlikely shaft in the DI7x (not the high launch shaft that people make it out to be) - a little indian problems every now and then, but the arrow is good.

I believe the sound is very similar to the sftp. I don't remember accuretly but it didn't shock me or anything. But I was indoor on the simulator... From TM website, the tp head is supposed to be 460cc (and not 4600cc !) but it sure looked smaller without the dualcrown. And you are right, the toe weight is very usefull. It can be used to adjust the SW and the trajectory. My misses are either pull hooks or over draws and it really felt like it prevented me from closing the clubface too much at impact. I'll stop talking about it because it makes me want to spend money for something I don't need...

i meant 460cc lol,
[/quote]

youre right - was mixing the drivers. the razr hawk tour is under 460cc.

at address the 2.0 TP will look much smaller thought than the original SFTP - so appearance of smaller, similar to the SUPERDEEP which hid the 460cc well.

I hit them both this last weekend. They are both very long. I had higher ball speeds with these two drivers then any others. The 2.0 had slightly higher ball speed on average by about 1-2. But when I caught one with the RHT it had the highest ball speed. No doubt the RHT is lower launching and spins less. For me the 910 was right there in ball speed and the dispersion I have the 910 was better than both of these. Plus I love the adjustability of the 910. Back on subject, the 2.0 and RHT are both excellent drivers. When fitted correctly, anyone could get ideal numbers with either. If I had to choose between the two I would take the RHT because it's not a white triangle. I also prefer the sound of the RHT. Good luck and I hope this helps.

THANKS! i have hit the sf2.0tp quite a bit with almost all of the upgrade shafts now and know i love it... still waiting to hit the razr hawk tour though... hit the standard razr hawk - that's it. the 910 was a good 6 mph slower in ball speeds on TRACKMAN with the same shaft as i was hitting in the sf2.0tp. my friend a professional fitter IMAGOLFER mentioned that EVERYONE on TRACKMAN that is coming though is getting slower speeds with the 910. that doesn't mean that it isn't a great driver. it is still selling very well for other reasons, but isn't as hot across the board to the sf2.0tp, f11, nike vr pro, razr hawk tour (he has hit one but they didn't have it in yet).

can't wait to hit the razr hawk tour... really want to pull the trigger on something soon!!!!

I did see a small loss in ball speed with the 910 compared to the 2.0. But not 6 mph. Maybe 3 at most and 2 on average. 6 yards to some people is a big deal and a deal maker. To me it's not. I need to hit more fairways and the 910 allows that. My smash factor with both was consistently 1.48. I was very much surprised by the 2.0. But there is no way I would feel comfortable gaming it. I am just too traditional... IMO the 2.0 is way better than the R11 (performance, sound and feel). The RHT is a great stick and as I mentioned I would take it over the 2.0. But honestly I don't see a huge change between the RHT and FT. Maybe a little more forgiving and less feel.

did you find the 910 much more forgiving than the rht and 2.0?

not a fan of the r11 either.

For me the 910 and SF 2.0 are very close as far as forgiveness. The RHT is not as forgiving for me. To me the 910 had the best combination of forgiveness, fell, distance and confidence. Also the SF 2.0 is higher launching. I hit the ball very high so being able to turn the 8.5 910 down to 7.75° is huge.
