Swing In Need of Help

Hey guys,

I had some problems trying to post to my previous thread on here, so I am going to put all of the videos on here. I am at school in Kansas and am looking for help as I do not have a good instructor nearby. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! (sorry, I couldn't upload the videos on to the site.. it wouldn't accept .wmv)

I am sure their are some other issues people will talk about, but IMO, it boils down to one thing.

You are stuck.

That term gets thrown around a lot and people discount it.

Bend over more at the waist and never let your right shoulder stop rotating through the ball.

Try feeling like you give give a right upper cut to a chin that is located where your left shoulder is at the top of the back swing and your right shoulder rotates all the way through and ends occupying the same spot your left shoulder did at the top of the back swing.

College, always in all the advice you ever get in golf, remember that golf is a game of feel and is very personalized in many different areas concerning swing. Remember this #1, you have a good swing.... PERIOD, it's smooth, repeatable and you finish well. I noticed a few things, and if you are comfortable in them I wouldn't change, these are thoughts to consider and impliment only if you find them beneficial. First you break parallel at the top, now nobody would tell someone like Daly to stop at parallel BUT, any added movement after parallel simply creates a reciprocating response, e.i. in this case your downswing. My swing tendancy is to break parallel but when I do I find I loose direction and I loose consistent ball striking. There are reasons that as your irons shorten your backswing shortens. I know when I shorten my backswing it is easier for me to get [i]back [/i]to correct position at impact and I actually hit the ball further because I'm striking it sweeter. Your swing has a quick tempo, again, you can play fine with a quick tempo but again it's creating a factor that can have diminishing returns. If you watched the golf tournament in Houston last week you'd have seen Chris Kirk swing very very slow and deliberate. I have personally noticed when I [i]do [/i]slow down I find it much much easier to stay down and through the shot. Remember to [i]"work" on your game on the range[/i], but when you go to play, "play", do not work on your game on the course. The key thought then is "feel", trust what you worked on on the range so you can execute and play on the course. I hope this helps a little . I did not hear from you what your flaws (or weaknesses) were in your game, so these thoughts are a little rudimentary.

I appreciate your comments very much! My typical misses are usually a push cut, and when it is warm and I am feeling very loose, I tend to pull the ball because of my quick tempo. I have a very low ball flight and so with a low flight and a quick swing, I tend to thin it just a little bit when i get out of sync. I used to hit a lot of shots off the toe, but have been working hard with the 1/2 swings with only the right arm to feel like I am getting back into the slot.
