Tiger at The Masters

I seriously have no better time watching golf than when Tiger is playing well and getting fired up....



This crossed my mind when he called himself a ""............" for leaving that downhiller on 11 short... I do the same, and I am sure many of you do. I really like watching golf when Tiger is fired up, I honestly enjoy it more than I should.. I get "ncaa football" fired up when Tiger is fist pumping and dropping putts.... Its like a football coach or player on the course when he is playing really well....



I know there are Tiger haters everwhere, and I honestly could care less about the guys personal life, HE IS AN ENTERTAINER ON THE COURSE, and I would like to see him keep playing well!


Anyone else been enjoying watching him today? I think its been a blast..... so far.. pending a huge blow up on the last 6.... So long no in golf starts slapping thier competitors behinds I'm good with the excitement.... seriously how did that get started in football anyway.... so ghey

Absolutely. Didn't see him call himself that on 11 but that's hilarious. Golf is so much more entertaining in general, but especially in majors when the Tiger factor is being discussed by announcers. Its such a compelling story that they can't help but show every shot of his.

Thanks but thats not it, wasnt too fired up with that one, the music just wasnt right. The commercial is brand new and it also had Justin leonards putt at the ryder cup and a few other people i cant remember.

That tee shot on 16 is vintage TW. I hope we are about to watch him pop off big time this weekend. I would love to watch Tiger win the Masters this year. How sick would that be... Tiger haters would be in pajamas with the shutters closed eating ramen and spaghetti o's for weeks!!!

Tiger's and Phil's first wins both were amazing. Love seeing them at the masters. Great when either one is in contention.

It's the kind of pressure that could make a guy shoot... I don't know... an 80?

And don't forget Freddy... dangerous to have a guy that really doesn't care, has a green jacket in the closet and knows the place like his backyard.

The big question is really... how many drivers will Phil bag tomorrow? Does he even have one that he can keep out of the trees? That is what get's me fired up; Lefty shooting 65 out of the woods...

I thought it was exactly the opposite, Tiger found his game today when he relaxed and realized he didn't need to force shots or get fired up. Early in the round when Rory was still on the course with the par 5s ahead and already 10 under, Tiger was still spewing profanities and slamming clubs and overswinging. Not until Rory passed #15 and the lead number hadn't gotten out of hand did Tiger find his comfort zone on the back nine. His swing -- particularly on the irons -- looked smoother and less hurried than any time in recent memory.

There is very little relationship between a typical tour event and a major. That's why Tiger's demise has always been overstated. I've posted it frequently here and elsewhere. Tiger is not going to overreact to short term poor form when he knows the majority of the young big bombers will play themselves out of majors with poor course management and lack of patience. It might look like 10 hurdles but it's closer to 3.

Besides, if current form were the only criteria then every goof who ever bet sports would be a zillionaire. There's absolutely zero talent in remembering what happened yesterday and projecting it to rerun.

Jack said a few days ago he couldn't understand why Tiger wasn't the favorite, comparing it to years when he was favored despite poor form prior to Augusta. Granted, both theories have their moments but in terms of a legit star I'll always prefer, "How good are you?" as opposed to the simplistic, "How well are you playing?"

My guess is Tiger will be the betting favorite now, once odds are established, slightly above McIlroy. Then a big gap to #3, probably Westwood.

Not too bright on my part, passing on the 12/1. I doubt Tiger will be available at that number in a major in the next 5 years or more.

No kidding. You think there weren't some gulps when Tiger was climbing the leaderboard? In fact, I doubt Rory or Day considered Tiger much of a threat when they entered Butler Cabin for the interview with Tirico. It was at about that point Tiger started playing his best.

Tiger is still a fragile commodity in any given round but the analysts who gave him no chance were worse than a 36 handicapper in terms of common sense.

i definatly do love it when he's playing well, and love it even more considering he's got Rory to chase down after those comments made earlier in the year. im hopeing for a final day showdown with Tiger and Rory with Rory having to eat his words about Tiger being done!
