It will be interesting to see what happens if Tiger gets out to a hot start (like -3 through 5) and puts some pressure on Rory. I don't think it will happen, but would love to see it.

I am watching the front of the Masters unfold and in my 32 year old life I don't recall any athlete that is as polarizing to watch. Jordan was close but he played a team sport with teammates so it wasn't the same.

Love Tiger or hate him. The guy gets your attention. I hope he keeps this thing going and brings it home. But win or loose... 20 years from now will remember this Mater's for Tigers run (baring something legendary from another). That is saying something.

We are are very lucky to have this type of athlete to watch. The red shirt, fist pumping, dramatic putts, huge drives, personal problems, etc.... We will tell our kids, grand kids, etc that we watched Tiger grow up before our eyes and about a shot or putt he hit. Or maybe you will tell them about the fire hydrant?

I wasn't around for Ali. But he played a single athlete sport. Ali ducked and went to Canada and then had his own memorable moments in the ring. So to the older gents that were around for Ali. Is it a fare comparison. Or who would you compare Tiger to?

Just like last year he finished fourth---hardly knocking on the door. Look at the rest of last year zip after the masters.... Heck he didn't even make any progress toward Jack's 19 second place finishes or Jack's 9 third place finishes in majors. Yeah when Tiger put his big run on maybe it affected Rory but they forgot to tell the others they should have been affected. Maybe time for Tiger to get a long method putter----worked pretty good for Adam. Admit the yips and don't waste years like Langer did before he switched..

Too bad for Rory especially liked his 100 yard drive between the houses on the way to butler cabin....

Yep!!! I am a close observer of golf. I knew he would crumble. I thought it would only be a 75 though that would dash his chances. Wow, an 80......that's as bad as shooting 75 two rounds in a row. He choked even worse than I thought he would. I knew he didn't have four good rounds in him.
