People say that it's a smaller version of the head at 420cc. My friend was at a Nationwide event last week and was talking to a TM rep and he told him it's actually not a different size, though... but sometimes those tour guys don't like to divulge things like that so maybe someone else has proof.

my understanding is that the dot heads have a slightly dif COG which creates lower spin and launch...

Smaller, I'm playing one & when you put them side by side to my 8* or 10.5* you can see the difference as it looks slightly smaller especially looking down at the crown side by side. I think somebody posted pics of the two, I can't really tell the difference when I look at the face of the two but from the crown looking down there is a noticable difference that can be seen.

Anyone compared the dot, non-dot heads on a launch monitor or with trackman? Wondering just how much of a spin reduction a person would get with a dot head.

smaller head, 420CC built for players who still play the original r9, or like the smaller size, ill put up some comparison pictures. they also have a lower CG and they have less spin, sweet heads...

I have an 8 Dot and you can tell that it's smaller. It looks perfect from address too!!!

Which one is the smaller one? the one with the paint break? they kinda look the same...

yes the one on the right is a dot head, if you looks carefully at the pictures from the top you can tell. the face picture is a big difference.

One of the members on the Reynolds Kingdom trip ended up getting fit into it after it dropped his spin about 300rpm on the Trackman with the same shaft setup. Hard to tell from pics, but it is smaller like the original R9.

Why? Because that price is like 30-35% lower than the going rate for DOT heads right now. I got a great deal on mine and I paid more than that.

I had a chance to hit the 9 dot head from my buddy who got in 3 heads a little while back. Lowered my rpm by 200, and the ball flight was slighly lower. I like that they are smaller and more compact than the retail head I have right now. I would love to game one but I probably agonize over dropping several hundred for one.
