Bridgestone J36 deal?

I found some of these at golfsmith with rifle 6.0s for $350. What do you guys think about them?

 

They feel amazing.

The rifle 6.0 is a stock shaft for them...

I've heard great things about them, an underrated iron for sure.

I'm sure there are a few guys who game them that can chime in.

If they are fairly mint, IMO that could be a good deal...

I've found them on here and eBay, always close to $300.

They've got some chatter, but they're perfectly playable.

Hahaha. I've been playing ping eye 2 black dots since I started last year.

Turns out I need like .5 degree upright, and these irons happen to be such lie!

PING Eye 2's were my first set of "good" clubs back in the day... CLASSIC.

What's your HC? That may be a determining factor... Are you a blade player? Cavity? Game improvement irons? etc...

I have to ask if it's the muscle back, cavity back, or pocket cavity? Makes a difference to me anyways...

They're pocket cavity. And I've got a cousin that's on his way to the nationwide tour and he's giving me lessos. I lack confidence with irons and miss greens because they're not fitted to me.

I putt and drive well. I shoot 85-95.

Bridgestone is up there together with Mizuno and Srixon when it comes to irons. They really make great sticks. If the ones you're looking at are in the used bin, try to ask the store manager for a better price. Maybe he can cut off 10% to 20% more off the listed price. Then go look for Golfsmith coupons, you might be looking at a decent set for less than $200.

Wasnt PX flighted the stock shaft? Thats what my CBs came with. Underrated club, nice endo forging. Price seems fine to me.

I have a set of the cavity backs and scifisicko is right, they are px flighted which I think is a good thing. For the price, I don't think they can be beat. Get them.

Bridgestone may focus on the ball but they do a good job releasing high quality equipment to compliment.

The pocket cavity irons would be a great set for you to transition from where you are now to being able to shoot in the 70's. What I mean is, they are forgiving but won't hinder your progress as you become a better ball striker.

If you pull the trigger I'm confident you will be more than satisfied.

I play the j36s. A combo set though with the project x 6.0 shafts. I have had them for four years. Nothing seems to kick them out of the bag. They give great feedback and have some forgiveness. I don't think you can go wrong with them.

I have a combo set that I custom ordered with S300s. I absolutely love the shape and feel of them. I have taken them out of play for now because I have switched to X100 shafts. I would love to get them reshafted because I just love the way they frame the ball and the way they feel. Buy them, you won't regret it.

They're in pretty good shape. I need to look around for coupons!

I'm probably going to go buy them tonight. I was puring them every time. And I'm sure it's just because I was so confident since my irons were finally under my control. It's such a relief to find out it's my irons and not my swing that needed an update.

i switch between the j36 and the mp60. the j36 are AWESOME clubs and at that price you cannot go wrong. for my game they offer the perfect combination of forgiveness and opportunity to improve...

I play the J36 PC set all last season and will continue to do so this year as well, they are fantastic irons.

Played them yesterday. Was hitting the 3 iron 250. 230 carry, but the course is like a pool table due to the 30 straight days of 105+ temperatures.

I was hitting them very well, but kept hitting a draw with everything. Not getting my hips all the way through.

Anyway, I just ordered headcovers, as these irons are crazy soft. But I plan in playing these until the time comes for some J38s. Bridgestone irons are fantastic. I couldn't be happier with these.
