Are these JPX wedges going to replace the existing one? There's something strange looking about the R12 wedge that I just can't put my finger on....

Thanks for the pictures, those MP wedges look pretty. Love the look of the sole grind and the shape of the head at address. Will have to look into these for next season.

Nice, is the JPX more of a mid handicap wedge? Is it forged?

Will there be a T version of the wedges like mizuno used to have with MP-T and MP-R?

Mizuno has had two basic wedge designs T (teardrop shaped) and R (round shaped). I assume the R12 is more of an round shaped wedge design. I think they both look fairly good.

Its a club you use very often so avg players might benefit a bit from this. Wish more companies rocked it

round leading edge vs. not so round leading edge. i've had better results with T than R myself.

R= top line roundness, not leading edge.

In 07 Mizuno had the T (Teardrop) and R (Round) series - the top lines were the shape difference only.

This site does make me laugh sometimes.
People have been craving a forged Cleveland 588 wedge for a long time. The 588 is a round wedge, similar to the "R" Mizuno series, yet people comment that they don't like it.
Mizuno, one of the best companies out there in my opinion (their woods go virtually unnoticed, and they are very good), offer both an "R" and a "T", so that they have a wedge offering to fit everyone.
Personally, I like the "R" better, and will more likely than not bag at least 2 of their wedges (52 and 58).
