when do they release again?
September 10th I believe.

Are the T11s going to be replaced by the R12s, or will we be back to having an R & a T offering (although confusing with 11 series & 12?)?
I think both are going to be carried, like before.

Mizuno will update their sites on the official release date - I believe somewhere around the 6-10th Sept.

They generally run a two year cycle on clubs so mpT11 will be current for another year and run alongside mpR12 to accommodate the two different styles.

I'd expect the jpx wedge to replace the previous jpx wedge though. More options and the pro look.

Lots of official pics already on their Euro site

I think these will be my next set of wedgies!!!! I have the T11 54° and I must admit that I don't really like it. Hope these new puppies are the ticket.

Funny you say that, I couldn't get used to the T-11s either. Got the Scratch 56/60 and love them, but would love to try the new Mizunos.

Anyone knows why they come with the DG spinner shaft as standard in the US and the standard DG shaft in Europe? In Europe the spinner shaft is not even an option as a custom shaft.
Mizuno Europe won't offer anything with sensicore technology (the Spinner has this)

The official line is it doesn't suit European weather, something about rusting from the inside. Europe is a big place with all sorts of weather from cold and wet to hot and dry.

More likely they had a load of returns / problems on sensicore shafts and someone in customer services said "no More" to anything with sensicore in it.

There was a claim (from a Mizuno staffer) that the standard shaft would be the KBS hi rev, whilst the pre order specs seem to suggest dg wedge flex.

I had a hit of these today at the National Fitting Centre in Wales.

mpr12

I used to have an older mpr wedge and it was nice to see that shape behind the ball again. I hit the 52 and 58 in the black and they felt just amazing - no spin numbers but the flight was quite punchy - I guess due to the cog being slightly higher than my mpt10s? Very sexy wedges and about the best feeling I've ever tried (I've owned CG11 12 15 SM Vokeys and Forged Yes!). If you want top of the range, butter feeling wedges, these are for you.

JPX

These were a complete surprise - fabulous. I'm a self confessed forged snob now, onto my 3rd set of Mizuno forged irons. These are cast but I thought seeing as I was there I'd try them anyway. What a revelation! Noticibly higher flying (slightly lighter stock shaft dgxp in these and dg wedge in mpr (no spinners in Eur as I mentioned above) they were definitely straighter for me. I'm a 10 handicap with a semi Furyk swing who's decided finally to swap my mp clubs for JPX as I want to start scoring. Well these were pretty difficult to hit badly. Shot after shot flying straight and true. The feel was great too - a lot better than I expected

It's a no brainer for me these will be my next wedges (they fit in gracefully alongside my recently purchased jpx800s). The 52 and 58 will do me fine thanks. I'll be super confident in the wedge zone with these babies. Very easy to hit but with all the milled face and fancy, sharp, progressive grooves of the mp wedges (plus I guess more durable due to being cast)

Don't overlook the jpx wedges !! Much better than last years

I can see the jpx line slowly taking over my bag fairly easily.

BigPete,

Does the profile of the JPX wedges fall more in line with the 800pro or 800? I ask because I am very interested in these wedges too.

Make no mistake this is a proper, grown up wedge. It has the funky grooves and the aggressive milled face, plus multiple loft options. As a stand alone wedge I reckon it could hold it's own against some of the very best in the market

I would suggest it would transition slightly more naturally with the JPX pro but could suit either for sure. It obviously has the visual styling of the JPX pros (which appeals to my OCD side, having the jpx pro irons already).

All I'm saying is "try these wedges out" before you automatically jump on the mpr12 train.

They have an element of forgiveness but it's only just enough to make full shots straighter. You can still make these babies dance if that's what's required.

Played 18 holes today. Irons are a WOW!!!!
Wedges are a WOW! LOok Awesome.
10 out of 10 on both.

Can you expand on performance, especially vs. other similar irons if you have experience with same?
