Spikeless golf shoes

Anyone wear them
I just have had problems with golf shoes forever. They never fit properly and I`ve tried most everything and last year I put a pair of jogging shoes on just to see how they would work and needless to say that was the end of golf shoes. They didn`t slip, they`re light weight and fit perfectly, I just cant beat them.

I`ve seen many of the new spikeless golf shoes popping up and was wondering how they worked, has anyone played in them and how do they work.

I played in older Nike SP 5 0r 5.5 spikless for year one of the most comfortable shoes I ever owned. No problem with slipping and I think they are more comfortable because they do not have the sprig/ softspike mounting thingy in the midsole to create hard-spots etc.

I think the street shoes are if anything even more comfortable- good enough for pros, so unless you play in real wet conditions you should have no probs.

I agree with fit on some, I have FJ SYNR-G and we just dont get on. They were not a cheap shoe, but my heel lifts and to prevent it I have to tie them so tight my feet turn blue from lack of circulation. I get on better with Nike and Adidas offerings and would have no qualms in buying spikeless again

I'm using the Ecco (Freddie Couples style) shoes and love them. They're very comfortable and seem somewhat lower to the ground. I do not seem to have any stability issues with them at all. They're worth a try for sure.

+1 on the Ecco Street Premieres. Super comfortable and stable. What I like best about them is the feel on the greens. It's probably all in my head but I've become a better putter since the switch to Ecco. The sizes run a little big, I've always worn 13 but the 12.5 were a perfect fit. They are definitely worth the money.

I wish I could wear running/walking/jogging/tennis shoes for golf. But the only waterproof ones I've found do not fit me as comfortably as Ecco golf shoes so I just stick with the Eccos. My street shoes are also Ecco and one pair of those are waterproof with non-slip soles so I've worn them for golf a few times. When I go on multi-day trips I carry one pair of Ecco golf shoes and wear the waterproof Ecco street shoes. That way if my golf shoes get soaked I can alway play a round in the street shoes instead.

So being waterproof is the thing. Open mesh style running shoes are a no-go for as I generally play early in the morning when the grass is soaking wet.

I wore the ecco streets until I started with the trues and they are the best for sure. I will not ever wear regular golf shoes again.

I have been wearing the ecco's as well and have had my eye on the trues,..what do you prefer about the trues ? I tried them on and thought the toe box was pretty big and was worried that my foot might move around a little.

I have been wearing the Foot Joy streets. They do have soft spikes, but they are very comfortable. They don't fit like any other golf shoe I have worn.

I was able to try on the TRUE's for the 1st time 2 weeks ago and I was VERY and I mean VERY disappointed with them. Yeah they are comfy but the sole is SOOOOO thin that every little pebble under your foot would hurt like a SOB if you are walking on a gravel cart path or even from your car to the course. I felt like I could step on a quarter and tell you if it was heads or tails. For my $$ I really like the Ecco street premiers, much better support.

I also use the Street Premiers. But I found them to run a little small in size. I usually wear a 10 wide and had to go to an 11 - 11 1/2 with Eccos. Great shoes though. Just ordered my 2nd pair. Not that the 1st ones wore out. Needed a different color. I don't think I would wear any other type of shoe again.

I put on a waterproof spray on mine. Works very well. In fact, I used the spray BEFORE I wore them the first time. This helps keep them clean also.

Ecco Street Premieres!!! I have 2 pair. Despite the uber retarded Euro sizing, they will mold around your foot very well (don't wear socks). They're so light and so comfortable. I'll never wear anything else!

For those of you looking for great waterproof shoes that are not "golf" shoes check out some of the stuff from Merrell and Vasque.
I have a set of Merrell Moab GTX XCR's that are flat out awesome, running, hiking, even every day wearing, and the few times I have been golfing this year they even seem to work good for that. Its hard for me to justify a set of dedicated golf shoes with spikes when these have been great.
The trick with the waterproof is the GoreTex. I have really sweaty feet, so I always look for shoes with excellent ventilation, but like some of you mention good ventilation + morning dew = wet feet. But not with the Merrell's I have had so far, that GoreTex liner really does keep the water out, its really quite amazing.

About 4 years ago, I learned that it doesnt pay to have feet that hurt or are uncomfortable, and for me Merrell shoes and Danner boots are all I will buy any more. Now for my wife, Vasque shoes fit her feet better.

I do have to say I did try on a pair of FootJoy Contours this week, and they felt good, but I am concerned with ventilation as my feet get hot and sweaty so easily.

I am wanting to hear more about the trues, I have a couple pairs of the eccos and really like them. My problem is that when I play I almost always play 36 or more holes, walking, and am on my feet for a long time. The guys with the trues, are you walking or useing a cart ? What about that very thin sole, how is it after walking for 10 hours ?

just picked up a pair of the ecco street premieres at golfsmith yesterday (marked down to 111, pretty good price)
PROS:
allows me to change at the office and walk right out with my golf shoes on, no more why are you wearing shorts and penny loafers comments
I can drive without fear (heel/toeing in spikes makes me nervous)
felt no loss of traction whatsoever on the grass
walked nine holes, felt comfortable the whole time
this might be the best, NO CLEANING needed after the round. Not even a shake

CONS:
Not a huge fan of the semi-skater styling, would prefer a more trendy but traditional style (like adidas or puma, spikeless tour 360s would be awesome)
They're not marked as waterproof but I'm sure some waterproof spray will be plenty for morning dew and light moisture, my beater shoes are for real wet weather anyway.
Priced at 140 seems a bit much for something that really is no frills but you can find them for way lower

All in all def recommended

I have two pairs now- the Kikkor's and the Ecco Street premier.

Both are great- the Ecco's are a drop better off the course but the Kikkor's are the best shoe I have ever worn. Very comfortable, super stable and totally waterproof.
The Ecco's are also very stable and comfortable just a tad behind the Kikkor's.
I wont wear traditional golf shoes every again.
