Should Tiger get a new coach?

Foney's method is not one size fits all apparently. Tiger is soooo talented as he said he tried to let go and the Foley swing does not come naturally. Foleys swing looks great on paper-Butch's swing blows away fields on Sunday.
Tigers impact alignments are moving further and further from Hogan from face on view look at 2000 Tiger-he looked like the cover of Five Lessons.

Tiger should fire Foney and go on walkabout to find his center. He's all confused now and that relates to Foney's OVER teaching.

Tiger needs Butch and Haney together ( give them his freaking boat or a house) at the same time and he needs Dr Bob Rotella to be with him 100% of the time, maybe as a caddy. I'm no TW fan, but Foley has some weird voodoo techniques that will destroy a golfer. Foleys other students aren't breaking down the win barrier. Sean O'Hair, Hunter Mahan, Spephen Ames, Parker McLachlin ( who), Justin Rose and TW to name a few. Also I heard from a good source with the PGA that Foley and Stevie didn't get along well, so hum

Thats a hard move to get out of head moving towards the ball. There is sonething that I really like is the shoes he is wearing why they expose --- how he is fighting something simple.

Really where is u r weight going tigar when you swing the club??? From start to finish ....

Wheres u r hands at impact from a stand point of where they were at address???

I agree the head moving to the ball is the issue ---

Tiger is really a case in point in just how much of this game is mental.

Before his car crash in 2009, his previous 10 tournaments were 1st, 2nd, 1st, 2nd, 11th, 1st, 2nd, 1st, 6th, 1st.

He went through personal hell and it screwed up his head which screwed up his game.

Unfortunately he made a very poor choice to scrap a swing that was producing amazing results, when all he probably needed was some more time off to clear his head.

Just go back to Butch and stop making so many excuses. Making excuse after excuse is just getting old. He probably burned that bridge though.

There was an article weeks back on golf.com where Foley talked about how much he admired about Robert Rock's swing. When asked to pinpoint what he likes Foley responded it would take me about two hours to get into that. Sure he was being a bit sarcastic but Foley does seem to be an over analyzer. In my opinion those are the golf instructors you want to run in the opposite direction from.

How does every sports analyst, writer, instructor, prior champs, fellow golfers see what Tiger and his coach do not see..Even watching TW on the 360 cam on the range he is still dipping then popping up at impact..TW is obviously smart and talented enough to get back..but his pride and ego will not let go of this coach..the man has lost all sense of reality..TW misses the cut today and embarrasses himself a little more..

I know that the time frame they quote is 2 years to learn a new swing. Yeah he hasn' t been playing but there were times he didn't play with his other coaches and he continued to figure out ways to win. He never has hit these kind of horrible shots ever. Foley has him bent over like a hunchback. Hopefully they've changed the lie on his irons. If not yikes. Steve left early he should have thrown foley his murse and video camera in the nearest lake. With all his problems with everything I wonder if his eye surgery is failing again. He has had at least one "adjustment". Foleys resume will be I ruined the best golfer in the world.

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE BEEN SAYING EVER SINCE THIS MESS STARTED! HE NEVER SHOULD HAVE CHANGED HIS SWING FROM HANEY! No one would have expected to play good golf going through what he was at the time. And you are right...it was not the swing..he needed to get his head right.

That being said..A new coach? Another swing change? I dont know. I do think Tiger is sold on the method. The way he keeps saying how hes hitting it farther, getting more compression, the flight is tighter. I dont think hes going to make a change. He just thinks he needs more practice.

with all of his time off, its really only 6 months with foley. new distance is great, just needs to get used to it. Once his short game/putting gets more solid then he'll get some "w's" again. Foley is a great teacher, even looking what he did with all of his juniors/am's in the last few years is beyond crazy. Basically dominating every event. He knows how to produce/what people need. Tiger will be back to normal by the masters/has a good amount of time to work with foley in the upcoming months.
