Go to a local store, try all the brands they have with different shafts, take credit card out of wallet, and purchase.

You have provided no details what so ever, I can tell you to go by the the new titleist, new callaway, whatever I like but that's not going to help you at all

Ping G15 and Adams F11 are both consistent drivers for high handicappers and are both 250. The Cobra S3 is going for 200 now I think, and I've heard good things.

Edit: Since you're buying from the store, make sure they fit you for proper shaft flex, and if you slice it, there are Draw versions of some drivers, such as the F11.

Mizuno ST190G w/ Fujikura Atmos Black
Callaway Rogue Sub Zero 15* w/ HZRDUS Yellow HC
Ping i500 3-PW w/ N.S. Pro Modus3
Vokey SM7 50* (Modus3), 55* (KBS 610), and 60* (KBS Hi-Rev 2.0)

Yes thanks for this, i've seen the S3 and I've got S2 Irons/Wood so it maybe the natural choice, I'll definatly be sure to check out shafts etc.

Oh and @gmetcalf18 don't ever get a job in a golf store!

Due respect but he was exactly right - you provided us absolutely no information so how are we supposed to tell you what driver is good for you. Every single driver out there is different from the next. Some are better-suited for people who hit the driver well; some are better-suited for people who slice a lot; some are better-suited for people who hook a lot. Your original post tells us nothing about how you drive the ball or what you're looking for in a driver so the response from gmetcalf18 wasn't anywhere near out of line.

One other thing - DON'T BE AFRAID TO USE THE SEARCH BUTTON! There are about 3.14159 million posts on this forum asking about drivers. Even if you're not going to provide us with any valuable information about what you're looking for, at least check those out before you ask the incredibly vague question of "I'm a high capper - what driver should I get?".

Wow. I guarantee you if someone with my post count posted this thread I would have been castrated by all of the golf gods at golfwrx, but I make one comment due to honestly the most nondescript "what driver should I buy thread" I've seen on this site and theres something wrong with that too. I'm not sure if golfwrx is on its monthly period but the bickering and the attacking is getting really old, same with the threads that contain NO info, they are just taking up server space and wasting peoples time. If you include ANY details about your swing, flaws, ball flight, tempo, SS, ANYTHING I would have been more then happy to atleast offer up some of my opinions.

How about this, I have 130, what wedge should I buy guys? That's all you need to know, you don't need to know if I attack the ball or sweep, you don't need to know what loft gap I'm trying to fill, you don't need to know if I need conforming or not, just take a random guess and give me the wedge I should buy, because that is exactly what the OP did.

i'm not really sure what you are reading but no one really jumped on you. The OP made a comment that may have very well been a joke, and the only guy who really stuck up for him just said he's new so let's not crucify him for asking a question that's been posed many times before.

this thread could easily get off track now because of your above comments, you are the cause of that, creating the same bickering that you are complaining about.

my 2 cents worth, buy something forgiving that gives you the results your looking for now (ie straight) but also something you wont mind looking at a year or 2 (if your swing speed goes up, you may consider a shaft fitting)
in terms of drivers, look at the adams, great value
but try them all out

I play off 6, currently gaming a Ram driver I purchased from eBay for $6 including shipping (brand new, shrink wrapped). I've never driven the ball better, although I've been through a few big ticket sticks. In fact, I've played with people who paid big prices and have them offer to buy it from me.

There's a huge fallacy in the fact that an expensive name brand will give you towering, straight drives.
I would suggest that you go to the range which has the best selection of second hand drivers and hit each and every one of them. Then, you pick the one you feel the most comfortable with, or hit best.

Easy to say, 'buy this' or 'buy that', means nothing though if you can't hit it.

Good luck!

Woaaaaaah sounds like by the responses that a few of you guys three putted a lot recently...It was all in British jest I can assure you.

I am new to both Golf and the forum so bear with me, I was merely looking for advice on which drivers were around and available in my price bracket. And for those giving me some models to look out for I really appreciate your help.
