Can you convert a short putter to a long putter?

Please explain

I have a 35" Odyssey 2-ball (not my gamer) and after seeing EVERYONE on tour make EVERYTHING inside 15 feet i wanna try a long putter out. Heres the question. Is it possible to make a long putter out of my current putter without buying a new putter entirely.

You can make a belly putter out of your current stick, like 42" or 43", but you can't do a long putter without a reshaft. The lie angle of a standard putter and belly putter is around 70* whereas a long putter is around 80* because you stand up taller. If you do decide to change the shaft in your putter to get that more upright lie angle then you need to make the head a lot heavier too. A standard blade style putter is around 340g, a mallet style like you have is around a 360g headweight and a long putter around 400g headweight.

Cost should be around $5 to $10 on the extension and $15 to $20 on the grip. New shaft will run you about $30 with labor included in that cost, but not the grip.

belly putter, you can just extend the shaft with an extension.

long putter probably wouldn't work, due to the lie angle issues, as stated above

Whats the problem with the lie angle ???
_ Long putter shaft comes both strait and bended, and i have converted many standard putters to long putters with a single bended shaft.

Remember that the static lie angle must not be more than 80*, and thats a problem for many, since a long putter would not be right at only 80* for many players. (they often need more than 80)

You need a new shaft, but you don't have to use long putter grips if you don't wants to
Many players prefer 2 standard grips for irons. Just cut of the but cap on the lower grip to get it on. If you dont mind a lagre diameter when using ordinary grips, go for Jumbo because of weight
A long putters lie angle is so step, thet even if you add weight on the butt end, it will work down, almost like it was added to the head (we don't swing it like an iron so never mind swing weight numbers, FEEL is what matters)

If you go for a split grip (2 parts), they cannot be with anything else than a round ordinary shape (not flat on the front, that's only legal if the grip is one piece)
You also need about 100 grams of tungsten powder to the shaft to gain head weight and a cork to plug the shaft, and some help to set the lie angle to max 80*
