How to get rid of them

Does nailpolish or sharpie work for covering up skymarks?

sounds odd but put some tooth paste on ur finger and rub it on there for a few minutes and it will improve it. the tooth paste is abrasive so it can scrub away some tiny marks.. plus it makes your club smell minty clean

Both will work to cover, does not fix. Will help with visual though.

I went the sharpie route on my older drivers. It doesn't last forever but its real easy to fill back in. Doesn't look perfect but you wont notice it at adress. Only really works on the smaller chips though

Hell I even use the sharpie to dot out the rock chips on the front bumper of my black car lol

To OP.. I have some product I bought at Walmart that takes them right out, PM me and when I get home I will let you know what it's called.. it doesn't remove scratches, but will remove those "stupid brother-in-law swung my new driver.." marks..

It's is just a surface "rub", then some scratch X product will help remove it. If it's a deep scratch through the paint, it has to be repainted. I found that automotive touch up paint tends to be a decent solution. You can get a very close color to match the color driver.

Sharpie solution tends to be short lived as a little water (dew) will wipe it right off.

The skymark has scratched through the paint, it's so annoying to look at. It was my dad who put the scratch on there, but at the time it was his club...

A few years back, I purchased a Cobra L4VX with a Graphite Design PM702 shaft from a fellow WRX in mint condition (a very nice head/shaft combo).

First round with it out, I was flat out crushing long, low drives all day. Last hole...not sure what happened, but had a brain-fart on my swing and hit it a touch fat. Got a bit of turf which kicked up some sand between the ball and the top of the crown. It gave me some nice scrapes on the topline of my new shiny driver.

Anyway, I was so pissed off and hated to look at what I just did. Tried the sharpie method, but it kept wiping off in the morning dew. I found that a little bit of automotive touch-up paint and some patience did the trick. You can barely see it (just the outline when viewed up close) and it has been a permanent solution. You'll probably need some type of paint thinner if you get some excess touch-up paint on the face or crown, but it'll do the trick.

It can be a bit tougher to match up with some of colors they use for some drivers like the purple metalic, grey/charcoal, etc.

Auto touch up paint, 2000 grit sandpaper under running water to smooth it afterward, and multiple coats of Scratch X to polish and remove the haze caused by the sandpaper. All of this is available at the auto parts store.

+1, almost...

Auto touch up paint (let it sit for 24 hrs!!!), rubbing compound and Scratch X 2.0 will eliminate even some pretty serious marks. Be patient and repeat the process as many times as needed (sometimes it takes me 2-3 applications).

Also available at most auto parts stores. I've used this and it got out a skymark completely. However, it will not remove scratches but only marks on the clearcoat.
