Can titleist weight a head?

I am ordering a 910 D2 from Titleist on saturday and I want to know if they can put weight in the heel as I really dont want to put lead tape on a brand new driver and I have always played about 6 grams on the heel of my driver to help me turn it over. Discount Dan's told me that they couldnt order it hotmelted but I figured you guys may know something that I/they don't. thanks in advance for any insight!

i do not think that a standard shop can order a titleist head with hot melt in it. there are some tour issue sites and dealers that may be able to get you a head with hot melt or where you could send a head you purchase to get hot melted, but do not think a place like discount dan's (as good as they are) or any other standard retailer can get a head with hot melt.

They can add a heavier swing weight screw but no hot melt.

With all due respect, that 6 grams on the heel doesn't help you turn it over unless you have a swing speed of 150 mph and hit it dead nuts everytime.

Companies marketing campaigns have fooled us into believing a few grams here and a few grams there will help alleviate undesired ball flights. However, physics tells us that the majority of golfers would need to move at least 20% of the head weight to move the COG to have any impact on ball flight. That's close to 40 grams for most heads.

6 grams will change the swing weight but not the COG. Maybe the heavier swing weight helps you turn it over?

The 910 is one of the heavier heads out there. The adjustable hosel only adds to this. I was surprised to find that my 910 D2 paired with the RIP 70 was around 2 to 3 grams heavier than my Adams 9064LS with a Nunchuk playing at the same length of 44.5. I would be careful before adding too much rat glue. Just my 2 cents

IMO if you're looking at turning the ball over, the adjustability of the 910 should set you free. Maybe select a shaft with a more active tip section?

My SS is around 115 so active tip is a no go
