I'm not loyal to any manfacturing company but do play a 910 and putt with a Scotty.

I do find it very humorous that if TM or Ping would have 1/2 as many wins as Titleist this year they would be all braggadoceous and shouting from the roof tops about how good their stuff is (yet another win for brand P or T) "am I lying)?

Anyone else make notice that Ben Crane won with a "Made for Titleist" shaft. The W Series Bassara. I thought Made For Shafts aren't good?
If Ben was using a really expensive "custom" shaft, he would have won by at least 10 strokes! Somebody has to tell him

Who cares? It goes in cycles. No one manufacturer consistently dominates, live the highs because the lows are coming!
why do you have to be a buzz kill is right he was just supporting the brand of clubs he liked. And he is right Titleist racked up wins this year. Mizuno has the number 1 player in the world Taylormade has the number 1 driver on the tour and Titleist has the most wins this year.

They do this all the time. For the longest time Mickelson was playing a White Board with Fubuki Tour paint. Just because the FT9 came with a made for Fubuki.

I think GOLFWRX should receive some commercial funds for this thread. The "kool-aid" drinkers are in their delusional element here. Wow!

What I would like to know from some of the staff here is: Was there a "Nike commercial" group running a similiar thread when they were DOMINATING the majors victories for several years in the recent past?? Because I don't think any one brand had such command for a period like that and it wasn't only TW.

Titleist golf line from drivers to bags is by far the best in the business. They do it right.
if it was by far the best then everyone everywhere would be using it. they are good but not THE best.
the brand does have a lot of wins this year tho

I love titleist gear for the following reasons:

1) you always get a classic shape in your driver
2) you always get a square face in your driver
3) you never get weird weighting in your driver
4) they were one of the first companies to offer upgraded shaft options in off the rack drivers (all the way back to the 975J with the ei-70 and the proforce gold)
5) fairway woods always look clean, square face, and once again no weird weighting.
6) they never have crazy "out there" graphics or looks to their clubs, always nice, clean, professional looking.
7) the irons always have a great look from the profile
8) great forgings, and before this the cast dci's they did were sweet players clubs
9) vokey wedges, I love the look, I love the feel, I love all the bounce options. my favourite wedges.
10) Scotty Cameron makes some of the best looking, best feeling putters in the business.
11) titleist players glove, the best glove on the market
12) the number 1 ball in golf

Titleist gear is like a vintage mercedes convertible or a pair of hugo boss wool slacks, they may not be the flashiest thing in the marketplace but they always have that classic styling.
Hate??!! No, but those foolish people that are buffalo'd by their logo baffles me, it is so sad. These are the same people who hang on to the Dallas Cowboys "America's team" thing or the NY Yankees that have nothing to do with Dallas, or Texas or New York city or state. Me-too-ers. Belongers without reason just to feel they have a popular "association". People need to have enough pride in themselves to find their own way.
I am fortunate enough to get to test virtually all the OEM's equipment, including pre-production prototypes. Part of this testing (including an annual "players ball test" for several years) is to include and observe players of various levels. It is far more complex and involved than what I can talk about here. That said when I talk about the good stuff from someone I get accused of being a "company man" (of more than one company!). At the end of the day, I have criticized some equipment from virtually everyone and I have praised some equipment from virtually every major OEM including Titleist. I have played their clubs at various times and I still own most of what I have tested (about three rooms full of golf equipment at the moment). When it comes to golf balls, going back to the high school golf team, I have rarely played with the Titleist ball, because not being "me-too" type, I have never found it to be the best ball for my game or the for the conditions that I regularly play (although I have played extensively throughout the US From Augusta National to Pebble Beach.
I can play what ever I want to and I do. As of today, I have four different manufacturers clubs in the bag. Also, I have mentioned this before on this site, that I think the new 2012 AP2 irons are not only an improvement over the previous version, but one of their best set of irons ever.

In the bag: Playing --- TaylorMade  Qi 35 LS driver w/Fujikura Ventus+ Blue 6S. 3wd TM Qi 35 HL w/Fuji Ventus, Velocore Blue 6-S.  5 wd TM SIM w/Fujikura Speeder 857TR-S (Japan made)

Titleist makes great equipment. As do many other golf companies. Every individual should pick equipment that fits their eye and performs for them. I know one thing about branding - you don't build brand loyalty by producing crappy products.

Anyway, I thought the main point of this thread was that Titleist is having a great year on TOUR. That much is a fact.

It's not a validation of their equipment, its a validation of the players the pay to play their equipment. WHY DID WE NEED TO START ANOTHER THREAD SO THE FANBOYS CAN GUSH ABOUT TITLEIST?! enough.

Nike may have one the most majors in the past decade or so but 14 of those came from one guy who could've won with anything, it's not entirely because of the clubs

I don't have a blind sense of loyalty for titleist, I have a sense of loyalty that titleist has earned. I played at a D1 school but I played at a junior college for a year before I got there. In D1 free clubs were easy to come by, in JUCO this was not the case. But what we did get was a sheet from titleist telling us we could order anything we wanted for WAY discounted prices. im talking $100 foot joy classics, $125 drivers, $40 vokey wedges. we only got balls and gloves for free from the school so it was pretty sweet to get all this titleist gear. When I played the mini tours (where once again free equipment is NOT the norm) the only rep I ever ran into were the various titleist reps, and they were always around to give you some free hats and talk to you. When I needed gloves and balls they were always willing to give a huge discount.

Now that I'm just a regular dude who likes to play golf on the weekend I can play whatever I want, and I do, there is a mix of clubs in my bag. But I'm always looking at the new titleist clubs because I like their gear and often they find their way into my bag. And I play the ball, wear the glove and hat because I like them and I like supporting a company that supported me once upon a time. I'm not a blind follower, and i'm not a "me too" guy. I'm also not some chop trying to put on a show like so many of you have suggested. I am well aware that the company has been sold, so i don't know if the programs that helped me out are still in place, but Titleist has done a fair amount to EARN my loyalty over the years, my loyalty is not misplaced.

If you don't like the brand don't play with it, its fine, there are many brands out there so play with what you like. But coming onto a titleist thread and lumping us all in the same category simply because you have a predisposed notion of what the brand represents is off base.

I don't think that is true, where did you hear that? You gotta remember, people make a lot of stuff up. This has never come up on here before (where all the crazy conspiracies surface ; ) and I know Phil has been playing the Fubuki forever, plus, Callaway never has players with the stock shafts on tour, seems they let everyone play what they want. Not like taylormade where they print their own graphics on other shafts so it looks like guys are playing standard off the rack stuff but they aren't.

Good for Titleist....but why is everyone hating on someone supporting a manufacture they choose to support....its really not like there are enough dominant players, every week battling back and forth, it's someone new every week.... so if someone chooses to look at sport by manufacture/team aspect, let them be....

They are always reliable, good looking, no nonsense clubs that clearly work for players all around. There are many good companies out there, but for the complete line, Titleist has it in the bag.

But most non WRX'ers see the clubs that player is winning with, and can't buy them soon enough. They'll use it, just because their favorite player does.
