Wilson should have done that a few years ago when they came out with those panhead styled dimples with the flat centers. The players version was a good ball but they reflected more glare back to the player than any ball ever. There were a couple of staff tour players that liked the performance but couldn't play it in the sun!

Lee wouldn't even hit off a yellow tee, and I never did again after hearing him say that.

I can remember when Nike came out with their SQ drivers. When a salesman tried to push one on me, I told him I won't even hit off a yellow tee, much less use a yellow driver. He looked at me like I had two heads.

There were balls of color (colored balls is politically incorrect, isn't it?) as far back as the 1930s.

I think Wilson was first with the modern version in the late 1970s, but I may be wrong. I do know that Wilson has never stopped selling them (yellow and orange) since then. Top-Flites have been available continuously in yellow since the late 70s/early 80s, but the orange ones haven't been around for awhile.

I was in a Kmart recently and they had some of the two tone (half orange/half yellow)variety. I think they were Nitro brand balls. Haven't seen those since the Ping Eye balls back in the 80s. Some of those bring a lot of money on Ebay as collectibles.

Pro V1s are painted And we all know the lack of durability in the current pro v line. Could you imagine a yellow paint chipping off?? Wow that would be awful

Am I the only one that thinks the srixon is just fair, I really don't like it at all, I am hoping the new yellow ball is a pro-v. I may even play the nxt tour next yr, there not bad,

As others have stated these will be available only in NXT TOUR and NXT Velocity (the new NXT) and DT SO/LO.

I personally think they will sell well in the fall. There is a few guys at my club that switched to yellow srixons in the fall simply because it was easier to see in the leafs.

when consumers see yellow balls in fairways, because srixon is the leader in yellow visual performance,they automatically think that "hey there are those srixon tour yellow balls again ! i gotta get some"

I like the durability of the ZStars but performance wise, I don't think they are on par with the ProV line. I like the yellow.

Just what I have been looking for. Durning the normal season I use white but this fall I purchased a dozen Srixon Q Stars so that I could find them easer. Titleist did not have any yellow balls at the time.

Yes, they could be trying to regain market share, or they could be trying to take away Srixon's sliver of market share.

As I heard a brand manager in another industry say one time, "Competeitor X is just a pimple on our a**, and we're bringing up the Clearasil."

Oh why wont they make hte pro v1x fluorescent yellow... Srixon's Z-Stars yellow (not Q-star or trispeed) are the bee's balls.
