Well this is the other invitation only, limited field, showpiece event with a big prize that's happening this weekend.

Not a bad field.

So far Westwood is leading at -4 (reckons he's never hit it so well off the tee)
Joining him is Charl Schwartzel
Robert Karlsson is one back then..
There's 6 at -2 including Luke Donald, GMac and Kaymer.

This actually looks a bit like a Euro Ryder Cup team with Schwartzel, Kim Kyung-Tae and randomly.... Jason Dufner (the only American) who's also at -2 btw.

Haven't seen any coverage, just reporting scores but I'll try and catch it at some point.

Ye it is, course is playing at nearly 7 800 yds. It is the biggest prize in golf.

Probably important to mention it is played at about 3000ft altitude.

I love this tournament. The coverage is always very good and it's on at 8:30pm here in Oz, which is a great time to sit back and watch some world class players in action.

Love the course and the scenery. The altitude makes the course play much shorter. The commentators were saying that all of the markers were in metres, but because of the altitude they could just treat it as yards anyway.

It's on the golf channel at 9AM the rest of the tourney - I am playing the course in March so I am excited to pay attention to the course.

Played this course and the Lost City course in 2009. It was in immaculate shape. Don't forget to do a game drive one afternoon after playing the course.

I've been loving the coverage in the evenings here in Aus. A great line up for this invitational event at one of the most stunning resorts in the world.

How good does Graeme McDowell look after losing some weight, same for Lee Westwood also. Graeme looks fitter and healthier than he has for several years and I hope with the success Rory has had, that will rub off on him and he'll continue to move in the right direction again. Felt a bit sorry for Donald in round two. Just couldn't get it together and shot a 72 which is 5 shots off the lead to G Mac. Charl Schwartzel is another player who amazes me. His ball stiking is simply amazing to watch.

With Westwood, Martin Kaymer, Robert Karlson and Jason Duffner in the mix, saturday's play look so mouth watering for such a fantastic event.

The course is in perfect shape this year. Dufner was on TV last night saying it might be the best track he's played on the whole season. Some good action so far: GMac had a freshie in the rough on the way to the lead; a cobra chased the spectators off the eighth and Darren Clark made 35 the hard way coming home -- six birdies, two doubles and a bogey.

The winner gets a cool $1.250,000 and Twelth place nets $250,000.

Not a bad pay day for Westy if he wins. After is absolute sublime ball striking on Saturday, which I would personally say for me was one of the best rounds of golf I've seen. He was simply amazing yesterday. Even Billy Foster bowed to the man of the moment!!

Hi ball striking is incredible right now. It has always been great, but was on a different plane yesterday.

2nd year in a row should keep the bank manager happy. Apparently his Saturday 62 was the inspiration for Rory to get going in Hong Kong, in case Lee took the number 2 spot back.

I love this tournament and next year i'll take a drive to go watch it, Dale hayes gets on my nerves when he's in the commentary box but there is usually some sublime golf going on to drown out his drone... Congrats to Westwood, lets see if he can make it 3 in a row next year!!! oh and as someone said earlier if you can definitely do the game drive! evening or early morning, its always worth it!
