Its release date is officially tomorrow Oct. 10th. Walmart should have it, becuase not only is tomorrow the release date, but all new releases are isseud on Tuesdays at Walmart.

 

Everyone do yourself a favor and get an XBOX 360 and but TW PGA tour 07 for it. The PS3 is too risky IMO.

Well if you won't to play TW 07 before November you have then you can't get it for the PS3. But, what do you mean the PS3 is to risky? What's so risky about?

Let's keep this topic active because I really want to play some of you guys in the new game. I've got the ps2 TW 07 game. So far so good. I love playing the K-club and the course in Carlsbad. Now we have an idea where Titleist employees play golf after work.

I've had it on PC for a few weeks now and I don't find it any more challenging than the first one. Good game, but still the same commentary and some of the things I was hoping would be changed. Example....changing your shafts per club instead of your putter having the same shaft as your driver.

The blueray for the PS3 is what I'm not liking. Once you buy a game, come home with it, put it in your PS3, it will only play on YOUR PS3 from then on out. Once the hard drive reads it. So in other words, no renting games. Plus the $600+ price tag throws some people off.

 

And in reply to a previous Q, the same OEMs came back from last year. Still no Titleist or Cleveland anymore.

Yes, I'll admit that $600 is a lot for a video game system but it's a steal compared to the $1000 a standalone Blue-Ray player will cost you. Second off, whoever told you that you can't rent games was flat out lying to you because games will work in more than just your system. Besides, it wouldn't even make sense for Sony too make a console that you can't rent games for since that would alienate a lot of people.

True, Blu-Ray could be obsolete one day. But, both Microsoft and Sony have said in interviews with Electronic Gaming Monthly that if either format becomes obsolete they would make add-ons so that their consoles would support which ever format wins said war. Oh, and the only reason UMD didn't pan out is because the PSP didn't sell well so movie companies stopped supporting it. (One more thing, I'm actually a diehard Xbox lover and I'm going to buy an Xbox 360 next month :drinks: )

The UMD drive in the psp was a bad idea and executed poorly. WHy pay $20 for a movie you can only watch on the psp. Some one at sony was saying that they think that ps4 will have no physical media, then why are the pressing blu-ray so much? To get it into poeples homes. I have been a die hard sony fan but I am not happy about a lot of things concerning ps3. I got a 360 and I am lovin it. I'll be playing gears of war on live when people are camping out for ps3s, wiis. :drinks:

I bought it last night for PS2 and so far so good. They could have at least given the old fictional characters from '06 new outfits, hair or something.

 

I've only done the my team format thus far as I'm trying to build my character up. Game face is much improved and the graphics are bit sharper (i.e. ball shadowing and the like).

 

The diffificulty does seem to be ramped up a whole lot which is why I hated '06.

 

More updates later this week because I will be up late most nights playing it!

I picked it up too. I like it. It seems like they cut down on the clothing and stuff a lot, but added some cool stuff, like a JL wristband. Still no cleveland or Titleist :drinks: Cool new coarses and they have "the roof" in that range deal that they had in 05 but I never figured out how to get to it in 05. Gonna go play it...

i live in atlanta and picked it up yesterday...i got it for the 360 and it's a huge, huge upgrade from the 06 version...

 

it's pretty cool how they added a screen w/in the screen to show your golfers emotions while the ball is in the air...playability is very similar...practice area is pretty cool...and they changed the sound of the driver impact which is kind of weird...but minor...they brought back the tiger challenge (match play career mode) which i like too...

Are the games for ps2, xbox, ps3, and xbox 360 slightly diffrent becuase it appears mine for ps2 doesnt have some of the features that xbox 360 has?

you're right...the 06 version for the 360 was basically a rush em out stripped down version that didn't have half of what the ps2/xbox versions had...there are differences...

No, Im saying my ps2 TW 07 version doesnt have the screen with the golfers emotions and some other stuff. Youtube has some video with one of the designers of TW 07 and they show some of the stuff the games suppost to have and most of its not on my TW 07 game so im wondering what the deal is. Will the ps3 version be better?
