Srixon i701 vs Adams A4r

How do they compare?

Hey all. I have been playing the Srixon i701 (non-tour) for the last year and they have been good clubs, no complaints here. But I am looking for something that is a little bit more compact with a thinner top line and thinner sole (HDCP between 10 and 11) . Dick's has the Adams A4r for $199, is it worth it to purchase these or are the Srixon's pretty comparable to these? I have not been to Dick's so I have no idea what they look like or how they play/feel. Can someone compare them for me? I have done a search but not much is turned up. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Can't compare them with the Adams but can with about a half dozen others (800 Pros, AP2 710s, MP53s, WS FG Tours, 701 Tours and probably a few others). I've had these 701s for quite awhile and they remain a fun set to tinker with. The heads are currently on the bench, waiting for the next shaft pairing. The bottom line for me would be to make sure you demo anything first before you ditch the Srixons. I think I've always been surprised at what a quality forged iron Srixon builds, let alone one as forgiving as the non-tour 701. It might be a little chubby but with the right shaft these things about hit themselves.....

If you want something more compact with a thinner topline, why not go for the I701 Tours instead? Srixon makes great irons, same as Mizuno and Bridgestone. I played the I701 Tours before and I find them much better than the non-tour I701s. The non-tour I701s have more bounce than I wanted.
