Do we have address pics of the Fast 12 LS yet?

How's this......I know, I know, it's backwards :D

I can't believe the numbers this thing puts up. I compare it to a few of my other favorites a couple times a week just to make sure.......it's unreal.

As long as people aren't afraid of the $400 price tag, I don't think there is a more raw beast speed wise, the 2nd coming of the 9015D, with adjustability thrown in!

thought some of you might like this info. i hit the fast 12 fairway a few days ago with a stock stiff graff blue in it. WOW. was testing it up against a tee cb4 with a x stiff rip and was getting better numbers with the fast 12. according to trackman fast12 was about 270 off the deck with the cb4 being 255 260. ordered the fast12 ls driver with the 6m3 in it also. i emailed adams to findout if the fubuki and the 6m3 were real or made for, they said both shafts are the real aftermarket shafts. they said matrix changed the name to .1 to designate retail shaft, and 6m3 by itself is tour spec only. both fubuki and 6m3.1 are about 65 grams.

I have been toying with the idea of getting the Adams Speedline 12 fairway wood.

I saw them today - today was their official retail release date.

I hate to say it, but the metalic silver look is too metalic and they look like clubs you'd buy in a dime store (O.K.....that dates me - there as no dime stores anymore). They just like creepy - cheap at address with that color. In the sun, they will be twice as bad.

I am sorry but I can't stand the looks of them - the technology is great but they screwed trhe pooch big time with these.

I can't believe what I am about to type......but it looks like TaylorMade will creep into the bag with the RBZ 3 fairway!!!!!!!!! I have avoided TM's forever, but I won't be able to pass up on the RBZ's.......too much technology to pass up on, and they are 10 times better looking than the Adams.

I do think the Adams' have equal technology to TM, but I can't get by the looks.

Hey man, I'm the dude

To be fair, Adams' best fairway offerings this year will be their Speedline Super XTD Fairways and hybrids. They will have a similar color scheme as the Fast 12 but offer titanium faces and and Fubuki AX shafts. Adams was first to come out with velocity slot/cavity technology in fairway woods...TM has done a better job of marketing the technology.

Bought a 9.5 stiff Fast 12 LS this weekend. I had a chance to play and all I can say is this driver is amazing! Long and very easy to hit. Very forgiving too. I average 105 mph swing speed give or take 4 mph in both directions depending on the day. I have no complaints about the Fubuki as it is one of the smoothest shafts I have ever swung. I do have a GD AD DI 6S I've been waiting to put in play but I'm wondering if I should tip it an inch first. What do you think?

I hit the fast 12 fairway wood against the RBZ speed head (not tour) Saturday and Sunday.
I decided to test them 2 times to make sure I got accurate and fair readings.

Looks-
RBZ is a little bigger than my CB2 that I have been playing for 5-6 years, but not overly huge.
Fast 12 looks great from the sole but the silver color with the massive gouge out of the top (Speed slot) is very distracting and does not appeal to me.

Performance-
RBZ is just a thoroughbred in performance. Cut, draw or straight the club is workable despite 195 cc head size. Consistent numbers 260-263 carry with 11-13 launch rolling out to 270-279. It feels solid, sounds great even on mishits. I completely fanned one of of the bottom of the club face with a 9 degree launch and it still carried 242....Living in western PA, the carry number is so important which really impressed me that my mishits were still carrying further than my CB2.

Fast 12 on Saturday just was not working for me. 1 Chunky, next one thin...Cycle continued...Hit probably 25 balls, best number was 232 carry at 15 launch for 244 total. Sunday was a little different, I hit it solid 85-90% of the time. Feels good. A little muted, IMO but solid. Here was the problem...I hit two that I flat out nutted and my carry was only 244. Almost the exact average of my CB2 head. I guess I was hoping for a little closer numbers to the RBZ, but it just couldnt produce it.

I also was had a gentleman who came in to try out both fairways. A little background on him. 52 years old. Competes in LDA in senior division. When warmed up, his ballspeed is in the 185-190 range.
He hit the fast 12 first.....Ball was exploding for him. 272-278 carry rolling out to 293-295. He was hooking it consistently, probably due to the shaft.
RBZ for him was the ticket. 290-295 carry rolling out to 303-311. His best with the RBZ was a 313 yard carry that was launched at 12 degree, held the line and rolled out to 327.What made it amazing is it was the stock stiff flex. It was kind of funny because we had an audience watching us while he was hitting. Immediately after he finished, I had 4 guys wanting to hit the RBZ.

I also decided to take a few swings with the RBZ 5 wood. Consistently getting 240 total with a high of 253.
As I have said before, I am not long with fairway woods, but these things are nuts.

DO NOT GET ME WRONG. The Adams Fast 12 is a very solid club, but the numbers dont come close IMO. It is probably a great club for someone looking to hit a specific number, but for most golfers that wanna hit it farther (almost everyone) the RBZ is a clear winner. I think if you are in the market for a 3wood, hit them side by side and judge for yourself.
I will have my RBZ 3 wood Wednesday, and probably gonna pick up the 5wood too.....Its been 10 years since I owned a 5 wood let alone play one....
Should be a fun season...

GO LOW,
Mike

I got a Fast 12 LS 9.5 deg with the stock Fubuki shaft in stiff on Saturday but had to work all weekend so didn't get out to the course like I wanted to. Went to the range tonight after work and I don't know what to say besides WOW! I'm coming from a R11 and, to me, the Fast 12 LS is night and day better. Lower, straighter, longer. I haven't had it on a monitor to compare to the R11 with accurate numbers, but it is so much straighter than the R11 and the stock shaft is amazing. Such a smooth feel. The sounds is great (much better than the R11), and since I'm coming from a R11, the non-black color does not bother me at all. After hitting this tonight, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a Super Fairway XTD and a Super Hybrid XTD with the Fubuki shafts come March 1. My bag is slowing becoming an all-Adams bag!

Just curious... What made you decide to get the LS version over the regular version? Were you able to compare them side by side? Was wondering how they were on the foegiveness dept, lower spin? Lower launch?

I went to my local Golf Galaxy Saturday morning when they first opened and no one was there, so I was able to hit different drivers for about an hour. I hit my 2011 R11 as a baseline, then hit the new Adams Fast 12, then the Fast 12 LS, then the Titleist D2 and D3, and then the new TaylorMade R11s and RBZ. Tried stock shafts in stiff in all of them at their regular settings, if adjustable. I was getting the most consistent numbers from the Fast 12 LS. It was less spin, lower, and longer than other drivers. I use Adams CB2 irons and love them, so I may have been biased towards an Adams driver, but the results also backed it up. I don't necessarily trust the Golf Galaxy simulator numbers, as I was hitting it further outside last night, but as long as all the drivers are compared using the same baseline numbers, I felt alright making the comparison indoors on the simulator. The second best driver that I hit out of the group was the Titleist D3.

I haven't messed with adding the extra 1/2" extension at the hosel yet, but will probably do that this weekend. Everyone should at least check out the design of the Fast 12 LS. The way they hid the adjustability within the hosel is very clean.

Will have to check out the LS. My Golf Galaxy didn't have any on the rack. I didn't like the look at address of the Fast12 though, I don't know what it was exactly though. I did really like the look of the fairway woods. They felt pretty good hitting them in the bay, but I didn't care for the shaft. I was launching too high with too much spin for my liking. But then again, it was on a simulator and the numbers could be skewed. I'll definitely hold out and try out the super fairway as that looks and sounds great.

What is the Fast 12 fairway wood head material, steel or Ti? Thx...BB

The Fast 12 is steel. The XTD Super Fairway that will be released later this year is the titanium model.

I have had many Adams clubs over the years and though I don't currently have any in my bag, I remain a big fan. I was curious to see the F12 with all the hype and finally did so earlier this week. I have mixed feelings. I am a guy that is willing to give most new technology a chance, but this thing is interesting. The color as many have said is fine, though for many it will take some getting used too (like white did). It is the sole that has me perplexed...it looks like a Seinfeld episode...the one where "Jimmy" has that shoe that helps him "jump." It is bizarre looking. However, the bottom line is how it plays and though I didn't hit it myself (I am more than comfortable with my current two drivers), I can't wait to see the reviews. Adams is a hot company and I have their a12 hybrid on notice along and like what they are doing with their irons...maybe next year.

Good luck getting your Fast 12 LS with the Matrix shaft as they are on backorder with no ETA. They only had enough heads to place their initial run to the retailers and they haven't received the Black Tie Shafts yet. Adams is historically burdened with poor planning/supplier problems going back many years (case availability of the CB1 and CB2's that were delayed 6 months)

I may be on the market for another driver. Having tested the RBZ and the R11 against the Fast 12 it was no comparison for my swing so perhaps the new Ping is the next test.

My driving range had a 9.5 demo w/ the Fubuki 60 Alpha stiff. Adams has a winner here. Felt and hit like the 9015D but more forgiving. It had that solid muted feel rather than a loud pop that the RBZ Tour had. I need to get this one out on the course for a comparo.
