449 dollars is the suggested retail price for the A12LS?!?!? I would love to have this wonderful club in my bag but that's just too much money. I wonder how many drivers they will sell for at that price point.
If the stock shaft is a real Fubuki Alpha, the price is ok. Do the math and see what you would have to pay for a D2, R11 or Razr Hawk with this shaft in it.
I am pretty sure it will be € 349,- here, just like the 9064LS was, or maybe € 399,- max. The R11 with the Alpha would have cost me € 520,-, the D2 with this shaft € 450,-.

I see a gap. There definitely is a gap.

That's just the MSRP. You should be able to get it for $399 retail

Evanlay, Averag -I guess I will do the usual then, wait a year to buy it when the price is dropped down to 200 dollars. The one thing when buying Adams golf clubs is this--Adams almost always put quality shafts in their golf clubs so its worth it to fork the extra dough. I have no desire whatsoever to have to go to a club-fitter to spend the extra money on another shaft. From what everybody is saying the Fubuki Alpha is a top of the line shaft. I wonder how big of an upgrade this driver is over the Adams 9064 DFS.

I hit the driver for three rounds in November with the Fubuki Alpha shaft in it. It was pretty good. I hit it in a closed face position at 45.5. It was pretty good but hard to believe it was any better than the F11 I'm hitting right now. I'm most excited however by the fairway wood. The F11 is the hottest FW wood I've hit since the steelhead plus days. If they've improved that FW wood that much......it'll be scary.

It's a ton better than the 9064 DFS. Problem with that club was so much weight was in the hosel that it affected playability of the entire club. That's your downfall of adjustable clubs, you lose perimeter weighting. This mechanism is very light and I think it'll be better received. Frankly, if you talk to Adams people, they'll tell you the Insight Tech A4 was better than any version of the 9064 or 9032. I'd go F11 right now over the 9064 DFS. The F11 with same shaft/ loft setup has given me 3mph over any of their previous clubs. I'm hoping to get back on a launch monitor next week with the Fast 12 to see if it's worth investing in.

2012 Adams Speedline Fast 12 Pics!!!

ADAMS Fast 12 Fairway Woods
Second generation of Velocity Slot Technology "slot within a slot." Adams says this is the longest and most forgiving fairway wood ever made by Adams. There is draw and standard models. Speedline FAST 12 Fairway Woods will come in 13.5°, 15°, 18° with the stock a Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue 65 and a Lamkin Tour Elite grip.

Kenny Perry, PGA Tour professional, became a believer in VST when during his initial test his carry distance increased from 254 yards using his previous 3-wood to 289 yards. “This is the hottest 3-wood I have ever hit,” Perry said. “This thing is a rocket. I gained 35 yards, which definitely made me feel young again.”

Second Generation Velocity Slot Technology
The Fast 12 fairway wood features Second Generation Velocity Slot Technology (VST). Second Generation VST – a slot within a slot – has helped engineers build upon the benefits found in the first generation of VST producing an 11% increase in CT over the Speedline Fast 11, and a 22% increase over fairway woods without a slot. This is because the new slot design in the Fast 12 fairway wood allows the clubface to compress more thus delivering higher ball speed + higher launch angle for dramatically longer carry distance and total distance.

“By placing a slot within the slot, we were able to create a thinner and more flexible structure,” said Tim Reed, VP of Research and Development for Adams Golf. “This creates an even hotter face than we had in the first generation of VST. We also have been able to improve launch conditions even more by designing the top slot to flex more than the sole to increase launch angle without increasing spin.”

Models, Pricing and Availability- The Fast 12 fairway wood will feature a satin silver crown. It will come standard with the Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue featuring Speed Coat Technology. The Speedline Fast 12 Fairway Woods will be available on January 26th and have an MSRP of $249.99.

Available lofts:
Speedline Fast 12 Fairway Wood: 3+, 3 and 5 in right-handed and 3 and 5 in left-handed
Speedline Fast 12 Draw Fairway Wood: 3, 5 and 7 in right-handed and 3 and 5 in left-handed

Adams Fast 12 LS and Fast 12 Driver...

Adams Fast 12 LS Driver
The Fast 12 LS driver is Adams Golf’s lowest spinning aerodynamic driver ever, and is the only driver in the industry with length adjustability.

“In the Speedline Fast 12 LS, we developed a low spinning, adjustable and aerodynamic driver that appeals to the better player,” said Justin Honea, Director of Product Development for Adams Golf. “Combining all of the performance characteristics with adjustability was the best way to do this. Giving players the option of changing lengths as well as loft and lie gives us a competitive advantage over the rest of the industry.”

Adjustability
The Fast 12 LS provides extensive adjustability in a very discreet hosel design. Golfers can adjust loft and face angle, lie, and length. The loft can be adjusted up to +/- 1 degree. The lie can be adjusted upright to +2 degrees. The standard length of the Fast 12 LS is 45”, but can be adjusted to 45.5”. There is also a removable weight in the back of the club head to allow the golfer to change to a lighter weight when the club is lengthened in order to maintain the same swingweight. Adding a half inch in length provides increased ball speed, increased launch angle, and additional carry distance.

Tour Spec Shafts
The Speedline Fast 12 LS driver’s standard shaft will be the Fubuki Alpha with MD Technology, which is designed for the player who wants a more stable, lower spinning shaft. For a golfer looking for an even lower launching and lower spinning option, the Matrix Ozik 6M3 Black Tie will be offered as a custom option with no up-charge. Additionally, a higher launching option, the Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue with Speed Coat Technology will be offered as a custom option at no additional charge as well.

Models, Pricing and Availability
The Speedline Fast 12 LS Driver will be available on-line and in stores on January 26th. The suggested retail price (MSRP) for the Speedline F12 LS driver is $449.99.

Available lofts are as follows:
Speedline Fast 12 LS Driver: 8.5°, 9.5° and 10.5° in right-handed
9.5° and 10.5° for left-handed

Adams Speedline Fast 12 Driver
The Fast 12 incorporates the new Airfoil Design to produce a 460cc driver with 14% less drag for an increase of up to 3 mph in club head speed and, at the same time, a nearly 10% increase in forgiveness.
“The Speedline Fast 12 driver is a significant technological step forward in the quest for large footprint and high MOI driver that also provides the speed of modern aerodynamic designs,” said Scott Burnett, Director of Advanced Product Development for Adams Golf.

Aerodynamic Enhancements
Adams Golf led the industry into the aerodynamic revolution with the original Speedline in 2009 and continues to make refinements for better airflow attachment. The Airfoil Design of the Fast 12 driver incorporates crown elements such as the trip steps seen in its predecessor, the Fast 11, along with new design elements on the sole and skirt of the club that provide maximum aerodynamic benefits throughout the entire swing path. The result is 14% less drag and up to a 3 mph increase in club head speed.

More Forgiveness
The Airfoil design in the new Fast 12 driver provides forgiveness never seen before in a aerodynamically designed driver, an increases of nearly 10%. It has the MOI equivalent to the square drivers of the past, which were extremely forgiving, but had such high drag that they slowed down swing speeds causing much less distance. In addition to its technical enhancements, the Fast 12 features a satin silver crown color to inspire confidence at address.

Models, Pricing and Availability
The Speedline Fast 12 Driver will come standard with the Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue featuring Speed Coat Technology. It will be available on-line and in stores on January 26th with an MSRP of $349.99.

Available lofts are as follows:
Speedline Fast 12 Driver: 8.5°, 9.5° and 10.5° in right-handed
9.5° and 10.5° for left-handed
Speedline Fast 12 Draw Driver: 9.5°, 10.5° and 12.5° in right-handed
Women’s Speedline Fast 12 Driver: 10°, 12° and HL in right-handed
12° in left-handed

It's matte Silver, not white. But that's just nit picking.

I personally am not a fan of the color scheme, but I'm interested to try them out. I think they should have gone all matte silver or all black, not a mix of 2. I have a 9064LS and 2 F11 FWs in my bag now and I love how they perform and feel. You forget about the slot completely after a couple swings...

Good thing is, it's not white. You CAN try it!! And if it's just that you don't like non-black clubs, I'd give it a look before turning it down.

On another note...I may be having a brain fart, but what TM fwy had the slot in it before the Adams F11 did?

 • 2 weeks later...

I hit it a bit this afternoon and really like the club. The color is more muted than I thought it would be based on the pictures. Heard from my guy that the Fubuki and Matrix black tie would be stock offerings. Hit it up against the Bridgestone 430 and liked the Adams better. It set up easier to my eye and was on average 200 rpms less than the 430.

Yup with the Fubuki shaft. Didn't get a chance to mess with the adjustments though. Swingspeed wasn't that different different than the 430 but the spin rate decrease was interesting....

I heard that the Black Tie produces great results, especially for those with aggressive swing speeds and like a low launch. I also have heard that it is not the smoothest out there and boardy. I only know this because I was considering an Adams F11 on EBay with this shaft and going for a price under $180. I wanted it (shaft is worth that much or more), but I have a smooth, 100 SS, thus not for me.
